Walking through the town, she looked around seeing many people walking out and about, couples, families, friends, and there she was alone with no one. Seeing mothers and little children all around, placing her hand on her empty lower stomach Frankie felt sadness come over her. A few months from yesterday she would have been a mother herself. To a baby she never met, never got to hold. All cause of her ex. She was five months pregnant when Dante got so drunk and beat her, he punched her stomach and pushed her and kicked her, Frankie was in so much pain a friend of theirs rushed her to the ER after she called them up crying to them about the excruciating pain worrying about her child. Getting to the hospital they rushed her in to look at her and told her the terrible news that the baby was lost and they had to do surgery right away to get the unborn child out and to save her before she got too bad.
She cried for days as she was kept in the hospital to recover then got the news about her father becoming sick. Two blows. The loss of her child and her father terribly ill. Frankie shook her head from the bad memories for now, she was about to talk about them to some stranger she’s never even met. Frankie was a little nervous meeting up with Niqui, she was told that they both had miscarriages so it eased her into wanting to talk to someone who would feel the same way as her.
Frankie opened the door to the local café as she got herself a hot tea and found a quiet seat away from all of the other people chatting, reading, or just relaxing. She looked down into her cup watching the hot water slowly get darker from the tea bag that was put into the water. Without noticing her hand went back to her lower stomach as she rubbed it gently, this became a habit after being pregnant when she would sooth the baby inside squirming around inside of her, but now it was just a habit she didn’t always catch. Frankie took a small sip of her tea as she waited for the other female to show up.
