Overall Personality: Carter is a loner, to put it bluntly. He is rarely seen with others for an extended period of time, and distances himself from essentially everyone. He is, for the most part soft-spoken, and only says what he needs to before a fight. If he makes a threat, he has every intention of carrying it out. He has a ruthless edge in combat and displays a natural "killer instinct". Alongside his dark demeanor, he can be smug, stubborn, and sarcastic. He treats others in a very cold manner, throwing in his opinion no matter how cold-hearted it is and not caring for whatever the response is. Carter has a sarcastic sense of humor despite his often times serious persona. He brushes off any kindness or sympathy that is sent his way. Carter is a coldly honest, independent, tough, quiet, mysterious and short-tempered American teenager with a one-track mind. He prefers to do things his own way and is stubborn and headstrong in his choices, which often causes him to clash with others' decisions. Though he is cool and determined, Carter has a very short temper and sometimes aggressive behaivor which can easily flare up when he thinks he has been insulted, wronged, tricked or is just confused. Though Carter's wild-temper will often get him into trouble, especially with girls.

Overall, despite his temper and tough facade, Carter is a loyal friend, a brave man and a good-hearted guy, who is always willing to help out his friends in tight situations. Often, Carter displays a distrusting demeanor towards strangers and people he thinks have questionable motives, making him rather aggressive towards the person(s) in question; this behaivor is not without its reasons however. Having been living on his own for much of his life, Carter grew up believing in honesty, but because of his lack of social ingenuity, it make him very naive. "Okay so my life as pretty much been a heap of shit. I guess I never really had a good childhood and my parents never really liked me much anyways. I am a pureblood, and I originally lived in Scotland for the first ten years of my life. My parents attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but apparently did not want me to attend. We moved to New Orleans, Louisiana into a shabby apartment overlooking the Saint Louis Cemetery. I spent a lot of time there, and that's where I learned of my magic abilities."

"My parents never did tell me I was different, I just assumed I had some sort of talent. When I turned eleven, my parents began to burn these letters, but more would always appear. I assumed it was taxes or something, until I got curious enough to snatch one out from under my father's nose and found out of this school called Salem Institute...for Magic...which is when I realized I was a wizard. It wasn't really a shock to me. That night I got into my first big argument with my mom and dad, and it just sort of flew off the handle. They disowned me and sent me to live with a family friend in Honolulu, Hawaii, but she was just as bad..and a muggle."

"So instead I ran off on my own. I was only eleven at the time, so I lived on the streets. I didn't get my first job until I was fourteen, and finally got an apartment of my own after a while (I was sixteen at the time). I managed to get to the Salem school and they helped me with buying robes, a wand, my supplies and such. Everything was second-owned except for my wand, which I prize above everything else I own. So Salem became my home from September to June, until this year. It will be my last and I'm not sure if I'm looking forward to it. I don't know what'll happen to me after I graduate, but I hope something good happens out of it, or I might just lose it."
