Sometimes, he will get up and put effort into his appearance, resulting in a very well, put together image, even if he is just wearing jeans and a button up shirt. Overall Personality: Jack is the outgoing, straight-shooting type. Enthusiastic and excitable, he is a "doers" who live in the world of action. Blunt, straight-forward risk-taker, He is willing to plunge right into things and get his hands dirty. He lives in the here-and-now, and place little importance on introspection or theory. He looks at the facts of a situation, quickly decides what should be done, executes the action, and moves on to the next thing.

Jack has an uncanny ability to perceive people's attitudes and motivations. He can pick up on little cues which go completely unnoticed by most other people, such as facial expressions and stance. He is usually a couple of steps ahead of the person he is interacting with. Jack often uses this ability to get what he wants out of a situation. He views rules and laws as guidelines for behavior, rather than mandates. If he has decided that something needs to be done, then his "do it and get on with it" attitude takes precedence over the rules. However, he does have his own strong belief in what's right and what's wrong, and will doggedly stick to his principles. The rules of the establishment may hold little value to the him, but his own integrity mandates that he will not, under any circumstances, do something which he feels to be wrong.

Jack has a strong flair for drama and style. He is a fast-moving, fast-talking person, who has an appreciation for the finer things in life. He is good at story telling and improvising. He typically makes things up as he goes along, rather than following a plan. He loves to have fun, and can be a fun person to be around. He can often be hurtful to others without being aware of it, as he generally does not know about the effect his words can have on others. It's not that he doesn't care about people, it's that his decision-making process does not involve taking people's feelings into account.

Overall History: Jack was born into a military family, and, therefore, traveled a lot during his younger years. His father was a muggle who had met Jack's mum while he was stationed in California. The pair fell in love and got married a few months before Darius was to change duty stations. He was not surprised when Ariadne broke the news of her magical blood to him, as his sister happened to be a witch as well.
The Everharts had been married for 3 year before Ariadne finally had her first child. It had come as quite a surprise, the couple had began to suspect that Mrs. Everhart was unable to have children. He was born on the island of Oahu on the 7th of July. The couple were overjoyed and named him Jack, after Darius' father.
Life went on and Ariadne had another son when Jack was 3 years old. His birth, though slightly less miraculous that their first son's was still considered to be a blessing. They named him Terrance, this time after Ariadne's father.
The two boys were very close as children. Moving around meant friends were sometimes sparse. They became each others companion. Terrence was heartbroken when his brother received his acceptance letter into Hogwarts, as it meant that he would be alone during the school months. Jack, on the other hand, was ecstatic, feeling as though it was a new adventure.
When the boy was thirteen years old, Andromeda entered the Everhart's lives. The girl had grown up with her mother, her father having left when she was very young. Her mother, however, was arrested for the handling and selling of drugs. The Everharts, having become close with the girl and her mother, took in the girl and, eventually adopted her as their own.
Jack doted on Andromeda, not caring that she was not truly related to him. A rift grew between the two boys. Terrence didn't understand why his brother cared so much for the girl.
When Jack finally finished school, he wasn't sure what he wanted to do with his life. He spent a few years traveling the US before deciding to teach at his old school in Salem.
