JAMES DAVID RICHARDSON
SEVENTEEN | MARRIEDcharlotte rebecca richardson | COUNTRY | BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA
The farm man had seen the way his wife watched him, knew that she wondered if everything would be okay. Secretively, he tried to show he would always care for the child, even if biologically, it was not his own. The man would rub her stomach, put as much of him in the baby as he could possible put, and talk to it in the morning while she slept. Though, he didn't know she way awake, he did everything to show that the child was his own, mostly because he wanted everyone else to believe that. If Callum saw him and Charley, the way James reacted to the child would show that it was James' child. James wondered if anyone had told him and wondered if Clover had say anything to any if she saw Charley? It worried the man because he didn't want Callum involved and he would fight to protect his family.
As he settled himself down after she was safe through the floo network, he relaxed some and sat down, his father taking the recliner near the window. It was fun to watch his father settle into a new place, always by a window or door. It was something he did to keep any eye on things on the outside world. Lindsey settled on the arm of the chair, making his father smile as he rested his hand on her hip slightly. One thing about his parents that seemed to amaze him was that watching them was like watching newly weds. Oh sure, they argued and he could remember nights where they would lock themselves in their bedroom and have a good argument or yelling match. Sometimes, the morning would come and his mother would be awake and look like a wreck because she slept on the couch due to her anger. Lindsey held a grudge easily and when she was pissed, his father had to work hard to calm her down and it sometimes took a few days. Sometimes, the scent of donuts coming in after morning PT(physical training) would drift through the house after one of these arguments.
One time in particular, his father had been unable to find a pair of PT pants and his mother had been doing laundry at a neighbors house due to their washer being broken(yes, his parents used muggle things for laundry). He had thought she had taken all the PTs over and left the pants, when she had told him all the uniforms and PTs she had washed were done first and already dried. The man didn't believe here at 5:50 AM in the morning and so, she walked outside and went to the neighbors house, who was asleep and knocked on the door. No one came, but a moment later, James had heard his father yell that he had found them. Lindsey hadn't stayed outside long and even though they made said he was sorry, she had walked upstairs and shut the door, went back to sleep pissed off. Two hours later, Donuts were in the house and he had taken them straight to her bedroom so she could have one then. Lindsey had a slight weakness... Flowers and sweets... Senior knew this... But with the deployments and trains, even though they had been married for about seventeen years, they still acted like young love.
“Want to help me put together a lunch for these two and I’ll tell you all about it?” Lindsey jumped up from the chair arm and walked into the kitchen with Charley and even though they were separated by a slight wall, James could hear them talking. Watching his wife walk with her large belly, it was rather cute and he hoped her see her like this again after they had this baby. Though, he knew she probably wanted to wait a few years.
“The interview went very well, the head healer looked over all of my grades and my reports, apparently it all looks promising. They were worried about the baby, but seem to be willing to take a chance on me. When I explained about having an extensive support system, they seemed a bit more willing to look past it.” Lindsey seemed extremely happy about that as she responded. "Well, good. I am happy they seem willing to give you a chance. Beside, I think David wants to babysit for you guys, as well as Emma." Lindsey said before James looked over at his father.
"You will be graduating soon... Got any plans?" James looked over at his father, who was constantly trying to make sure his son was prepared. Not only was James graduating from Salem, but he was also graduating from the private school program that allowed him to do muggle studies outside of the a actual school. "I got some ideas, but I need to speak to Charley first before I do anything... Just to be on the safe side." Seeing the look on his father's face told him he was speaking the right way and answering the way he should have. James had always wanted to follow in his father's footsteps, to be in the military, but with a son on the way and the way it happened, the man was slightly reluctant now.
