Jasper smiled. He believed a full education was needed to succeed in the wizarding world. If Aridorn had been opened after his graduation he would have attended. He had no need for a job but he held one anyway and if his family ever lost their fortune then he was safe in the knowledge that he would always be able to work to support his family, however big it would grow. "You're seventeen, you don't need to attend school if you don't want to. You have your OWL's and you're an adult, you can chose your own path in life, ma beauté. You don't even have to snap your wand." Jasper knew she was a sixth year and he knew her birthday was in October, he had to learn the exact date but she was old enough to leave Beauxbaton's if she wanted, though of course a full education was always a bonus in the wizarding world.

All Jasper wanted to do was wrap Sabine up in a towel and lay her on his bed. He wanted to hold her close to his body and make sure that she knew there was nothing to fear while he was around, he wouldn't let anything happen to her again. She was everything he wanted in his future. No one compared to his Sabine. She was strong willed, independent and the sex wasn't something to complain about. Jasper would be a little disappointed every time he saw a certain wife of the minister, she would always be his one that got away now, but it was okay, he had Sabine and she was far more divine, far more driven and age suitable.

Jasper placed a simple kiss upon Sabine's lips and released her chin. He ran a wet hand over her hair, pulling it all off of her face and put the loufa down. "I won't ever let you down." He said softly as he wrapped her arms around her, encompassing her within his hold. He would protect her with his very last breath, he would do everything within his abilities to ensure that she was cared for. He would never let her work a day in her life unless she wanted, he would keep her happy and she him, Jasper knew for the first time in his life that his future was going to be a happy one.

All of the things that she wanted to have with Jasper, were all things that she told herself she would never be able to deserve. With that pervert's scum still deep inside of her body, she would always feel like he was just getting a consolation prize of life. Even if he wanted to run off with someone else, she knew that there was no way he would leave her now. No one wanted to be the guy who left his teenaged whore after she was raped. All of the horrible thoughts were seeping into her head. Thoughts about how Jasper was only promising these wonderful things because of what he saw. That he told her what she needed to hear because that was what a good man did, but he would grow to regret. When he had to deal with Sabine for the rest of forever, he would step out.

She knew that she had never been enough for him before. All of the nights when she just wanted five more minutes with him in a hotel room bed, and he stood up, put on his clothes and left her. No one could compare to Jasper. He was strong and loving, caring and handsome, but if she was never good enough when she was sixteen or seventeen, how could she be good enough when she got older. When her body fell apart. When his son or his daughter stretched things, contorted her body. What if he hated her and refused to even give her a family one day. That he would only stay with her because of what he saw and that no man would ever want a used up whore like her. He would have his affairs with various women, probably his precious Minister's Wife, and she would just slowly die on the inside. Her rapist free to roam around France while she was the one who trapped someone to a lifetime of dealing with a woman who Jasper didn't even care about anymore.

When he promised that he would never let her down, some of the thoughts were pushed from her head. Tears rolled down her cheeks, but she could only hope that he would believe it was just the bath water.
"Jasper," She hated herself for the voice crack, giving away that she was crying. More proof that she was a pathetic bitch instead of the fierce woman who he enjoyed sleeping with.
"Jasper why don't you hate me? Why-" More tears started to roll down her face and she couldn't contain them anymore,
"I'm not good enough for you anymore. I've never been so why are you sticking yourself with me forever? I'm broken. I'm a used up whore who apparently now can just be fucked against a wall no matter how much I scream for people to stop." She was full on sobbing now and hated herself more and more for it. She was pathetic and disgusting and Jasper was just feeling sympathetic for her because of what he saw. In the morning, he would try to take back all of his beautiful words to her.

That was what all men did.

Jasper couldn’t believe how strong Sabine was. He’d never expected any woman to be able to handle everything the way she had. She’d been taken by force less than an hour ago and she held herself together so well. He held her in his arms knowing that he’d never felt about anyone the way he did about Sabine. Astoria. She was a beautiful and kind woman. She had been his crush growing up. He’d hoped that he’d be able to woo her away from her husband one day if only for a time of passion, but fate had other plans. Sabine needed him and he had never expected that.

For such a long time Jasper had thought that Sabine had only ever wanted a sexual relationship with him. If there had been any signs to the contrary then he had missed them. Their night in Paris had been an eye opener. He’d bought her a gift and it seemed as though he’d almost destroyed what they had. She only wanted to be friends with benefits, Jasper knew that and he had accepted that but he hadn’t been able to stop himself from trying to take it to that next level. He’d bought the necklace, hoping he may have been able to get more than just a friends with benefits but it had not turned out that way.

Jasper always regretted not being able to stay with Sabine longer than a night. They had their fun and come morning he had to leave. He knew that if he wasn’t gone by daylight then he would never have been able to leave her side. He didn’t want to cling to her like some puppy dog, she was too independent for that and so was he, he had thought, but looking back he knew he would have done it for her, he would have followed her anywhere and done anything, just like a love-struck teen.

When he heard Sabine talk and as he listened to her voice starting to crack he knew he should have left home sooner. He should never have gone past his mother’s room, he should have made his way straight to Sabine, he could have prevented this, he could have saved her before it was too late.

Jasper heard Sabine’s words and he knew this was the break down she should have been having from the start. She’d taken everything so calmly compared to how he thought she would have, how he thought anyone would have but now what did he do? He wasn’t sure how to console her. Her words were hurtful. He couldn’t believe that she could ever think that way but he knew he had to do something.

Anger overcame Jasper as Sabine described her rape. He clenched his fists and jaw, knowing that bastard was still out there but he would take care of it, he wouldn’t allow that filth to get away with what he had done to Sabine. Jasper resisted the urge to storm out of the bath and punch the closest wall. He resisted his want to apparate away to France and track down that SOB because he knew that there was something more important than making that scum pay.

“I don’t want you to be my Rose, you are my Sabine, you are all I want.” Jasper wasn’t great at talking from the heart. He could smooth talk the panties off a married woman but he couldn’t eloquently discuss the matters of his heart, he felt like a giant in a china shop. “I could never hate you and I could never be worthy enough for you, not the other way around.” Jasper continued to hold her in his arms, he rested the top of his forehead upon hers gently, he wished he could show her how he truly felt, he wished he could just make everything all right and show her that he loved her. She was his only consistent. She was the only one he could never leave. He always had to keep coming back to his Sabine and the thought of any man inside of her, consensual or not filled him with a rage he didn’t know what to do with.

She wanted to be strong. She wanted to be the woman who Jasper deserved. His Rose, his precious Rose who he talked about like she was a goddess. If it was just how he always looked when he talked about her, or how the demons in her head were contorting the memories but he always looked like he was ready to drop the whole world for a chance to be with her. That if she had ever asked for more from the man she was never able to quit, Rose would only have to crook her little finger and Jasper would drop her in a second. That if the married woman ever wanted Jasper even for a night he would kick Sabine to the curb for a chance at it. So she buried everything down.

She denied the love that she always felt for him, because she knew that he would eventually leave her. The allure of his Rose was too much that she would never be able to compete with it. When he gave her that necklace, she thought that something big was going to come from it. That he was going to ask her to stay only with him. That he would forsake all other women but he didn't. He just put on his shirt and walked away from her with that beautiful diamond necklace around her neck that she never wanted to part from. The only times when she would take it off was when she was dancing, because she never wanted to have that piece of Jasper with her when she was gathering euros from the floor of a dirty strip club. She would also take it off when she would try to fill the void in her soul from not having Jasper with another person.

All of the times when she would sleep with Finn, or Maddie, or Azalea or Dante, she was just thinking about Jasper. About what he would have done differently, about what he would think if he saw her with another man. If he would shrug, because it was expected from someone like her or if he would go into some jealous rage. That he would throw whoever was entering her body off her, pin her to a wall and tell her that she was his. When she was alone, when she would think about clearly what she wanted for her future she would pick the latter. She would want him to pin her against a wall and make love to her while reminding her that she was his. Now, if he ever did that to her, she would probably only think about the man who hurt her. All of those beautiful thoughts of Jasper would be replaced with ones of that man with his stale breath telling her that he couldn't wait to tell everyone he knew about this.

She knew that he would recover from the beating that Jasper gave him, that he would pick himself up and tell the world that he was beat up after fucking her in an alleyway. He would probably brag about how much she screamed and there would be a whole group of men just dying to get back into her pants. No mattered if they had to rip them off and make her scream in agony in the process.

The words just poured from her mouth before she could stop them. Before she could stop the harsh words that she knew he would hate her for. She should have accepted his attentions and just kept her mouth shut. Enjoy the attention that he gave her for the night and if he decided that he wanted to just walk away the next day she would have to find a way to accept it because she didn't deserve this faerie tale to be real. This beautiful home, this perfect man, this happily ever after. Not when her thighs were bruised, not when her face was broken and bloody from that man.

Rose would get it. Rose would have Jasper forever and Sabine would eventually be alone. Everyone else in her life finding a man or woman who would be able to give them a proper life. She would probably end up someone's mistress, hell, she would probably end up back with her exboyfriend and brush up on her excuses about her black eyes and busted lips. Spoiled rich boy that he was, he thought that he could shove pills down her throat and fuck her while she was nearly passed out. It took all of her strength to get out of that relationship and it still haunted her.

She took in a deep breath, trying to remind herself that this wasn't all a dream.
"You're all I want too, Jasper." She wrapped her arms around his chest, taking in everything of this moment.
"Jasper I'm in love with you. I've been in love with you for a very long time." She knew that it was a lot, but he needed to know. He needed to know that she had been in love with him, that she had been drinking that night because she realized it when she was looking at her necklace and knew that there would never be anyone who she was quite as addicted to like Jasper.
"You're more than worthy, Jasper. You saved me. I can never repay you for that." No matter what she did, what she said or what happened between them, he would always be the knight in shining armor in the story of her life.

Jasper wished he could just reach into Sabine's mind and find out what she was thinking. He wanted to put any worries and doubts to rest, he wanted for her to know exactly how he felt about her. They had been playing with one another for so long that it seemed perhaps she couldn't believe his words. He had talked to Sabine several times about his other women and she about other men. His Poppy, Rose and Lily were nothing compared to her. Sabine gave him something that no other woman could and it wasn't just the possibility of a family. Jasper was willing to adopt. He'd turned out all right but sometimes he wondered about his brother. He was certain the gene's of his father had been bad, tainted with crazy. Jasper was not big on the idea of family and never had been, at least not until he'd met Sabine. The more he had gotten to know her the more he realised that he had truly underestimated her the first time he'd ever met her. All his flowers that he'd been with had been a one night thing, Sabine was not. He never called her a flower, she was always Sabine and he always came back to her, time after time. He couldn't keep away from Sabine and he sought her out more times than he would have ever previously admitted but if she wanted to know every trip he had ever made then he could tell her the date, time and location if she desired and there were more times he had visited and not found her than times he had been able to sweep her away for the night.

Jasper had lost count of so many things in his life. The amount of women he'd had, the amount of hard drinks he'd necked and even the amount of times he'd forgotten his own mother's birthday but with Sabine every single thing related to her was sketched into his mind. She was in the forefront of his brain, etched there for an eternity. He would never be able to leave her and remain in one piece, every time he'd left her in the mornings he'd broken his own heart time and time again. Sixteen times he had done that. Sixteen times he had sought out Sabine's company and left just before or dead on the crack of dawn. Nine of those times she had still been sleeping soundly in the bed. Six of those times she had stirred and once she had woken. That one time she had been awake, that one time he had looked at her eyes as he'd left had been the hardest day of his life. He had to kiss her good bye, promise he would be back again another day and then leave. He had to leave everything he loved to return to his life so she could return to hers. Jasper knew that if she had asked him to stay, even once, he would have stayed with her forever, the rest of the world be damned.

Jasper's heart skipped a beat when Sabine told him that she was in love with him. Of all the things to hear from Sabin in his bath tub he had not expected that. His breath caught in his chest and he closed his eyes tight shut, forcing himself to hold his composure. No woman had ever told him that they loved him. His mother was of course the exception but that was a different kind of love. He knew that one day he might feel it and that he would say it to a woman but he had always expected it to be shallow. His father had been pushing for him to take a pureblood bride, to find a girl worthy to join their family. He knew he would have to do that at some point in his life but he hadn't planned on it for a few more years, for example ten to fifteen. He was a man, he could take a younger bride and sill have a family. His brother could even be the one to carry on the Wilkes family name, Jasper was only ever interested in sex. Until now. Sabine had changed that. Her one simple statement had changed everything in his world, everything he had ever known or expected from his life. He had never thought a real woman could ever truly love him. He never thought of himself as the type of man that could be loved. He was distant and rarely spoke, he never expressed mush of his true emotions, only superficial things. Sabine was the only one he had ever truly opened up to about anything in his life and even then he had never said too much, he didn't want her to know too much.

"You never have to repay me, it was the least I could do, I should have been there sooner." He sighed a kissed the top of her head, the water was starting to cool. "Sabine, I've never had anyone tell me that they ... that they are in love with me." He stopped to take a breath before his voice would start breaking or he would start stuttering like a fool. "I've never told anyone before that I love them, I never thought it possible for someone to love me." Jasper was struggling to say what he wanted to say, not because he didn't want to say it or because he couldn't say it but because he couldn't say it as eloquently as he desired, he wanted the first time he ever told a woman that he loved her to be perfect, whether it was real or not it had to seem real, that was what he'd always told himself. "I always expected to be pushed into a loveless marriage," Jasper knew he had to be careful, he couldn't slip up and mention that his father was dead because as far as anyone was aware, his father was fast asleep in his own room. "To know you feel the same way about me as I do about you ... that you have for a while." Jasper looked down at Sabine. "I love you, you're the only woman I've ever loved and I promise to always be here for you and I vow to you that you are my one and only for as long as you'll love me." Jasper felt as though he had talked more now than he had his entire life.

She needed to hear him say something. Something man, just anything. It felt like a decade since the admission of love fell from her lips and she was terrified of it. The silence. The look of just shock on his face, it made her want to gobble up all of the words and take them all back. She wanted to take away the silence in the air and go back go the thousand years of waiting ago before she told him that she was in love with him. Heinous little words that should have only been reserved for him to say to her first.

Sabine was kicking herself when he told her that he always expected to be in a loveless marriage, that he never thought anyone would be able to love him or that he would never love anyone. Did that include Rose? Sabine lifted her head off his chest, forcing him to maintain eye contact with her while he explained what he was thinking. He never loved Rose. She was an obsession at best, a fantasy that he could never have. Someone who would always be on his list, but never obtainable, much like how she felt about Benji. Would she always love messing with the prudish young man? Of course. He was adorable and he blushed whenever she could tell that he was thinking about her naked but she knew that she would never sleep with him.

Tears filled her eyes, but for once it was for amazing reasons. She was loved, and loved by the man who captivated her heart so completely without her even realizing it.

She kissed him softly, her fingers though his hair and felt all of that doubt leave her body.
"I hope you know that I never would have allowed you to marry someone you didn't love." Even with her sore and bruised body, she managed a smile at him.

"I would have stood up and told the cow to go to hell." She pressed another kiss on his lips and felt a shiver go through her body from the cold water.

"I think I'm clean. Can we go snuggle in your bed now?" She asked, running her fingers over the taut muscles on his chest. There had been so many times when she would wake up before he left and wanted to beg him to stay. She never could though. She couldn't be the needy girl who refused to let him leave her. When she wanted to ask him to stay, she always stopped herself. Sabine knew that she never would have been able to face him again if she asked him to stay, and he said no.

The critical part of the bath was over, she couldn't feel the fluids from the man on her thighs anymore. The next morning, when Jasper went to work or just whenever they managed to get out of his bed, she would get herself a morning after pill and schedule a test for any diseases that ass could have passed into her. Considering he was a man who thought it was alright to attack girls in alleys, she was a little nervous.

Sabine carefully untangled from him and sat up in the bath. She grabbed a towel for herself and bundled up in the fuzzy white towel. Her skin finally felt clean, her face was still bruised and cut, but that would heal soon enough.

Jasper never wanted to let Sabine go. He wanted to make sure she would be his forever. He knew it was ridiculous a possessive and all kinds of creepy but his feelings were strong and he'd never known she had felt the same way about him. All their time together and they could have been exclusive, meant only for one another. Perhaps this evening would not have occurred, perhaps something worse would have happened in the time between. Jasper was no seer, he could not tell the future or what could have been if the past was altered but he knew that they were on a good path together. He wouldn't allow a single thing to come between them. It was only a shame his father would never see him with a superb, young, hot blooded pure-blood like Sabine but that didn't bother Jasper in the slightest. While his mother was not a pure blood extremist like his father had been she did have a preference for pure blood but she just wanted her boys to be happy and more than that she would hate any woman that came into her son's lives, regardless of their blood.

Jasper kissed Sabine back gently. He took note of how soft and tender her lips were. Her fingers roamed up to his hair line and became lost to him in the thickness. He couldn't believe that he had finally told Sabine how he felt, it seemed as though everything that had been weighing down on him every time he saw Sabine was now lifted. She was his woman and he was her man, he would remain faithful to her until the day that he died and he believed Sabine would stay faithful to him too. He dreamt about one day giving Sabine the ring that had been handed down in his family for generations. The eldest sons received it to give it to the ones they were promised to. Usually it had been only for arranged marriages which were pretty much guaranteed to last but this would be the first time it would ever be given to a woman for a marriage based upon love. Jasper knew he would have to wait until she had at least finished her education before he proposed such an idea but when the day came, he would make it a perfect one for her. He'd dreamt of it at least a dozen times.

Jasper lightly ran his hand over Sabine's hair, pulling back loose strands as she smiled at him. He let go a small chuckle and kissed her again. He could very well believe that if he was forced into a loveless marriage then Sabine would have fought for him, though of course Jasper would never have allowed that to happen. His father would have died before Jasper allowed that ... oh, wait. Jasper kissed Sabine's forehead and het her go to move freely about the bath. His fingers were all pruney and supposed the bottom of his feet matched but he wasn't going to rush her anywhere, everything would be set at Sabine's own pace.

"Of course." He took Sabine's hand from his chest and pressed a light kiss upon it. He was more than happy to retire to the bed and just hold Sabine in his arms while the night time passed them by. If she wanted to talk then he was there for her, if she wanted to sleep then he would make sure to keep her close so she knew that no more harm would come to her, not ever while he was around.

Jasper navigated himself well and got out of the bath, he grabbed a warm towel and dried off his upper body. He wrapped the towel around his waist and helped Sabine out of the bath. "I'll be back in a moment." He kissed the side of her cheek and opened the door, walking into his room and instantly grabbing the box the engagement ring was in and slipped it into his bedside draw. He then went to his wardrobe and pulled out a shirt for Sabine. He then found a pair of his silk boxers for the pair of them and made his way back into the bathroom, changing himself before he entered as he wasn't sure Sabine would ever want to see his manly parts again, but that was okay, he would always do anything to make sure she was happy.

"Here." He said as he entered the bathroom again. He laid the shirt and boxers down on the white grey marble counter. He made his way to Sabine and wrapped his arms around her. "I'll give you some privacy." He pulled her to his chest and kissed the top of her head. "I just need to write a letter and make that phone call you asked of me." He would quit her job for her and he would make sure that she was not bothered again by her boss or anyone else that worked there. If Sabine wanted anything to do with any of them ever again then she would be the one to instigate a meeting, not them. He leant back and looked at Sabine. He couldn't believe that she loved him and that she had done for a while, but a nagging part of him hoped that she wasn't just saying those things because of her vulnerability right now. If it was then he would find out soon enough, but at least now she knew how he felt.

Jasper placed a gently kiss upon her lips and left her to wear whatever she wished. He made his way to his desk and instantly pulled out some parchment and dipped the nib of his quill into the ink. He scrawled a note on the parchment and then made his way to his window. He pried the thing open with a bit of force and whistled for an owl. His own owl swopped down and took the letter he had on his outstretched hand. Jasper gave the name of the recipient and the owl was off in a beat of heavy wings. Jasper pulled his window closed and found his way to Sabine's phone. He manoeuvred his way to the contacts and called her boss. He made sure that it was well understood that Sabine was not working for the man any more and that anyone that dared try to make contact with her would have to deal with him as a result and the consequences would not be pleasant. All he wanted to do now was snuggle up with Sabine and keep her safe forever.

Sabine watched Jasper leave the bathroom and caught her reflection in the mirror. How could he possibly find her attractive when she looked like this? When there were bruises on her thighs, when there were bruises on her throat. Her lip was cut from the man punching her in the face and she knew that she looked horrible. Still, Jasper said that he was in love with her. While a part of her was screaming out that he lied to her about it. She knew that it was the truth. Jasper had never lied to her before, at least not that she knew about. She looked in the mirror and knew that there would always be this memory hanging between them. She knew that even when the bruises faded, she would have to remember how sincere he sounded. How he claimed to love her and have these feelings for so long for her and she needed to know it. When she had memories of the man's lips over her screaming ones, when she would have to remember Jasper's confession and hope that it got her through all of it. She would never have bruises on her skin ever again. Not when she was able to have Jasper as her one and only. She would never have bruises on her neck, not on her thighs, and if she did she would kill him. She had to deal with too many men who wanted to hurt her. Her main ex-boyfriend, the one who started her on everything hurt her the most.

He would slap her across the face if he thought that she was with another man. He would punch her if she talked to a friend. It was three months of being with him. When she went back to Beauxbatons, he would send her howlers that she was cheating on him and that she was a whore. It took everything in her to leave that relationship and it nearly killed her along the way. He beat her up when she finally left him. Dislocated her limbs and broke her jaw. He left her bleeding and dying, spit on her and walked away. It took hours for someone to find her, and months to heal completely. She would heal from this and never let another man hurt her this way.

She stripped down the soaked bra and underwear that she kept on and wrapped the towel around herself. Sabine walked out to the bedroom and smiled weakly at Jasper. He seemed busy with his letter so she took the moment to drop her towel and tug his shirt over her body. The long white shirt that barely covered her parts, but was exceptionally comfortable. If this had been any other night with any other circumstance she would try to seduce him, but right now she just wanted to curl up in his bed and be at ease.

The bed was warm and comfortable, Sabine pulled the blanket over her shoulder and watched him write out the letter to her bosses.
"Come to bed when you're finished." Assuming she could stay awake that long when his blankets and pillows were so warm and soft.

It wasn't long until Jasper was done. He put Sabine's phone to one side and ran his hand through his hair. It had been a strenuous night and in the morning they would wake to the news of his father's death. He would have to send an owl to Headmaster Longbottom and if he wanted, Kasper could come home for a few days but Jasper got the feeling his younger brother felt a similar way about their father as he did, that the man was nothing more than a burden on the family, lingering on in order to make their lives hellish. It seemed that everything was happening at once but he would not leave Sabine's side after what she had gone through, not until she was ready to go home. It would be a difficult thing to juggle tomorrow but there would be a funeral to arrange for over the next few days and of course he would take Sabine to his own Healer and accompany her back to Beauxbaton's whenever she was ready, tomorrow, the next day or even a month from now.

Jasper climbed into his bed, the heavy sheets falling on top of his almost naked body. He wrapped his arm about Sabine and pulled her in closely, feeling the warmth of her body against his own. He kissed the top of her head and held her as close as he could without squeezing her too hard. He'd never expected to have Sabine in his very own bed, with all the avoidance of their true feelings it was a surprise either one of them had said anything. Jasper had always feared he would lose her but now that he had her for good, he was never letting her go and no one would ever be able to come between them.
