Devi's eyes focused on Mark and it seemed he had finally focused back on her for a moment. Smiling, she wondered what this was all about. Devi had told her parents all about Mark and they really liked him, even supported her going on this summer long trip with him all around Europe. Devi rubbed her hands together slightly, looking around for a moment and then back at Mark. "First off, I want to thank you all for coming, me and my father are very grateful for setting this up in such short time. My father sends his regrets that he could not be here tonight." Okay, so everyone knew who Mark was and knew that he was the son and not his actual father. That was a good thing. Feeling her heart settle, she noticed others were holding up some glasses, but she had nothing. It made her feel slightly, left out.

"Now on to the important part." Devi looked at him slightly as he took the Microphone from the stand and moved towards the stage step slightly. "Devi Helena Carmichael, we met about a year ago, through a friend. For about we have spent time together, and you have made me one of the happiest people alive." Okay, have you ever seen someone glow red? A bright red from head to foot? Yea, Devi was doing that right now. The man began to walk towards her, stepping off the stage and moved towards her, though slowly, she wanted to go towards him, but he had asked her not to move. "Every time I saw your smile, your beautiful eyes, your dark smooth hair, it brought light to all my days, good and bad." Those butterflies must have turned into bats, because she felt her stomach turning and her heart racing within her own chest.

"Every day I would add just a little more about you in my journal, and I realized I don't need a journal to remember you, or anything about you. I would much rather forget something about you and learn it again spending time with you than reading about it." Noticing how some of the guest moved from where he walking, she put her hands in front of her stomach slightly, they were shaking and she was getting slightly embarrassed by all the attention.

"I have realized that YOU Devi, are the reason I get out of bed everyday." Eyes were wide as she looked at him, she wanted so badly to just give him a huge kiss for all the nice things he was saying to her. "So Devi Helena Carmichael, I ask you." Watching as he went down on his knee, the microphone on the ground and then seeing a little black box in his hands. "Will you marry me?" The ring was beautiful and on her face was the biggest smile she had ever had. Hands on her lips as she couldn't believe he was asking her to marry him. They had been seeing each other for a year, she hadn't expected to have the question come so soon in their relationship. She figured another year, after he was done with Hogwarts.

"Yes... Yes, yes, yes... I will marry you! I would love to be with you forever." The woman said, a few tears of joy coming from her eyes as she smiled brightly. Already she knew she would have to write Shea as soon as they got back to the hotel. Luckily for her it wasn't hard to find an owl in the city and of course, her parents would need to know as well. 

Why was it that the time between his question and the moment she answered felt like it took forever to do. As soon as she said yes, she felt the ring go onto her finger and though it felt strange, she smiled at it and took his hands into her own hands when he stood up. "I love you Devi Helena Carmichael. My soon to be Mrs. Antony." The woman had no idea how long their engagement would last, but she didn't care. As long as it ended in a marriage, she would be happy to stay engaged as long as he wanted to be engaged to her. As he kissed her, she kissed back and wrapped her arms around his neck. The sound of cheering drowned out by her thumping heart in her chest.

The woman couldn't even hear the sound of the band, only the words that came from his mouth. "May I have this dance?" With little time to respond, she just smiled and moved with him as he lead her around the dance floor. Devi was beaming with so much happiness, anyone could tell that she was glowing from head to toe. Moving with each movement, she smiled at him and wanted nothing more then to not have this night end. Could magic make a night last forever? "I love you." The woman said to him as they moved over the dance floor, unable to keep the words from spilling from her lips. How could she end up so lucky?

Have you ever had the feeling of floating, that feeling where everything seems so light, so fuzzy and yet so real? That moment of perfect bliss? Yes, that moment! Well, for Devi this was that moment and she was beyond excited and happy. Shea would have a letter to her by tonight, she just knew it in her heart that she would have a letter. The movement were so fluid, she barely realized that they were dancing and with her eyes focused on him, nothing else seemed to matter.

The feeling of his lips upon her own, it was like butterflies suddenly took off in her stomach and made her smile. "I was afraid of what you might say today. But I am glad I still went through with it." The man before her had been nervous? She barely could believe that, but then again, everyone got nervous, right? It was just that Devi never saw him nervous, mostly because the man played with swords in large arenas, which she had yet to see him do that, but she was excited to see it.

"Would you like to stay a little longer? Or we could head back to the hotel? I have a surprise for you when we get back to the hotel also." Looking up at him, she thought about it for a moment and looked around the room. It felt like they had just gotten here, but spending some alone time with him, even with her pounding hang over, it felt like the perfect ending to an amazing day. Granted, she had been found outside on a car, had been half drunk this morning, had slept on the bed, and now was dancing with him. It was an eventful day, that much was for sure. "Yes, we can go back."

Devi couldn't have been happier, couldn't have been more surprised, impressed, and in love. The woman looked at him, danced in a circle, moving her feet across the floor. The feeling of him kissing her cheek made her heart jump, her stomach flutter, and her cheek flush red. "You drive darling." The woman nodded and smiled at him, getting in the front-driver seat and starting the car. Noticing how much he was acting, she chuckled lightly at him and took his hand as they began to drive. "I love you, god, I really mean I love you, so damn much." Devi blushed brighter and looked ahead. "I love you too... So much!" The woman said as she started to go down the roads, using the memory of the drive over to get where they needed to go.

It didn't take long for her to get to the hotel, to have the man at the door park the car after they got out and she smiled when she could stretch her legs. It was nice to be able to walk, even if the drive had been short and quick. As she walked towards the hotel, she looked at Mark and smiled. "You're amazing."

Seeing the smile on his face made her happy. Mark made her happy period! Devi was not a sad person, she was always smiling, but when she was with him it seemed to never leave her face. Oh, sure, they were sure to have their moments, but right now she was happy. Feeling his arm around her shoulders as they walked, it was a wonderful warmth. The journey to the room seemed so slow, it seemed like it would never end but soon they were infront of the door to their room and he was unlocking it...

The scent that came from the room was a mixture of cinnamon and roses, the air was full of it and she just took it in. The room was lit with candles all over and she smiled when she saw the beautiful table with food on it. Devi looked at him with a huge smile, unable to even speak a word. "Surprise." Devi was sure that the surprises were over, but she was wrong... Dead wrong! The woman felt her cheeks warm when she felt his lips on her cheeks and she just smiled at him. "You did this?" The woman could not process anything mentally, she was too shocked by all of the surprises. First the engagement and now this? It was so much she couldn't believe it.

The girl walked forward, putting her bag on a somewhat clear spot because she didn't want to ruin anything at all. Everything seemed to be perfectly placed and the idea of messing it up didn't sit well with her at all.
