Eloise never would have survived this school without Noe. She never would have stayed away from her father without knowing that she had at least one friend by her side. Someone who would miss her if she left, someone to sit on her bed and listen to anything that Elly had to talk about until the wee hours of the night. She did the same for Noelle, whenever she had troubles at home, or when a professor was particularly rude, they had each other. Noelle was her best friend in the whole world and nothing could ever change that.
There could be a million reasons why her mother carried her to term, and if she had to thank her for one thing it would be that.
"Yeah you're right, I just. I don't know. It's hard not to hate her." She was trying to be as fair as possible, but she couldn't. She couldn't justify someone who hated her that much, who hurt her father so much, who wanted to kill her. She just couldn't.
Maybe she was just being too dramatic, too caught up in what her mother wrote and less about what happened.
"Might be best to have him in another house. Can then see him when you want to, and still give each other some space." She didn't have any siblings, but she always wished that she did. A big brother or a baby sister, Noelle was the closest that she had to any of that.
"Did you explain to him about the tree, or are you just going to let him see it for himself?" She tried to explain it to her father, but he seemed to be a little confused about it. Everything was about science with him, so magic was interesting to him, but he tried to explain it away in science terms.
