Sunny was in his greenhouse and of course that meant the world was right and nothing could possibly get him down. Not that much of anything could get the Herbology professor down anyway. Still the greenhouse was where he was meant to be. It was the one place he actually understood. Sunny knew how to love and how to take care of plants. That was really about all. The man has been said to forget how to toast bread, but damn if he wouldn’t try until the toaster caught on fire and then just chuckle about the whole thing.
Currently he was looking over the puffapods and singing some song with no real words as he did everything he need to make sure that the plant was happy and healthy. Sense the school year had started Sunny was more spunky and cheerful as normal. The kids in his class were great and everything seemed to be going off without a hitch. Of course he missed the travels with Sebby and Ivy but those two where in the school with him and Sunny got to see their shining faces every day.
“How are my Moly today,” He chirped walking over to the white pedaled, black stemmed flowers. Sunny went over those, making sure the soil was nice and rich and there weren’t any unwelcomed bugs about.
He had finished all of the classes he had for the day. The routine went on just like that, plant after plant. Sunny checked over each one with love and care. A short small mew sounded under one of the tables that the students used to write on. Sunny turned on his heel and looked down under to see a puffy while and brown stripped kitten. Sunny smiled. “come here you little floof.” Sunny plucked the kitten from the ground. It mewed a couple more times.
When he had gotten back to New Zeland Sunny picked up the small animal just to have a friend for his room. At first he thought maybe a puppy then he found the tiny cat and just couldn’t say no. It was all fluff and tiny meows. Sunny cradled the kitten trying to figure out where he left off in his check list of plants. “You made me forget Petunia.” He chuckled and scratched the cat gently behind the ear. The name was the first he came up with and something thought was pretty clever because calling a cat tuna somehow was funny to the man.
