She wanted to learn German for him. She wanted to be able to give him something in return for him saving her life in such an amazing way. She wanted to be sure that he would be able to handle teaching her all of the things in the world too. She didn’t want to annoy him with all of her questions about what the world was like. She wanted him to think that she was smart and wonderful. She used to be. When she was younger she got all of the best grades in her schools, she loved reading and loved everything that had to do with learning new things. Those memories were somewhere in her head, but buried under years of abuse and powder.
A part of her was terrified about Drago finding about about what happened to her for all of those years. If he would understand what she did to survive all of it. Drago seemed like a fighter. Someone who scraped and lived for everything that he had. She wanted to know about everything that he had. She wanted to meet his mother, she wanted to know what Drago had been like as a child in Germany. He was amazing and she was already falling for him.
She wanted to know everything about him. She scraped her spoon across the end of the bowl, unable to believe that she really finished the meal. Her stomach protested it’s new engorged state. but she was sure that she would be able to keep it down. She looked around the home and saw little touches all over the place that were so completely him, but she knew that he could possibly want her things around one day. If she would even have things. She couldn’t imagine that Drago would put her back in the same situation that she was in with the masked people.
She wondered if his mother would like her. If she would worry about her son being so serious with someone who he just met. She thought it was a little insane, but there was something in her gut that told her that she was supposed to be with him and that as long as they were together, she would be able to survive it. For years, she was terrified of those ice blue eyes, now it was the one thing in the world that could give her comfort.
