"Woo!" Roxy threw her pool cue down on the pool table "Better luck next time, fella's." Roxy took her winnings from the guys she'd been playing against. The more time she spent playing pool, the better she was actually getting. She was now competing against some of the better fella's and actually, from time to time, coming up trumps. They weren't playing for much and most of the guys didn't mind Roxy taking their hard earned money because it meant she'd buy a drink or three and just maybe they'd stand a chance with her. Yeah right. Roxy wouldn't tell them they had no hope, even when she was drunk. She liked winning and she liked drinking. She wished she could do it with Niqui but that wasn't an option any more but hey, they still had milk, cookies and mounds of chocolate they could throw themselves into. It was just as well they were on opposite sides of the globe, Roxy was sure that if they got together every week they'd both end up the size of houses in no time at all.
Roxy made her way to the bar with a small wave and a smile that suggested that anything could happen. Of course it couldn't. Right now she was still totally sober and knew better than to go off with one of those guys. They were all right but she wouldn't trust them as far as she could throw them, but it was all right, she'd learnt some pretty nifty hexes from her Aunty Ginny for when it came to dealing with unwanted company. Damn was her aunt talented at hexing people that crossed her!
Roxy sat up to the bar, seats free to her left but taken on her right. The bar maid came over, Roxy placed her drink order and slipped the coins she needed on the counter. She knew the exact amount. When the barmaid came back she gave Roxy a suggestive grin "This one's on the house." Roxy smiled coyly and gave a wink. "Why thank you cowboy." The barmaid looked pleased with herself and moved on to serve another customer. Roxy sat at her seat, taking a sip of her drink through the straw the bar made had slipped in, plus there was little extra something something. A very red little cherry, resting against the edge of the glass. Tonight was going to be a fun night.
