Clover actually quite adored the little town of Owlbrook. There were quite a few wizarding families now set into the the town, mixed in with all the muggle families that had no idea magic was a thing. Clover thought it was quite amazing. The wizarding folks would sometimes help the muggles out without the muggles even realising, it was all so very magical and yet the funny muggles didn't notice a thing. Clover enjoyed being in the town, it felt homely, even if she lived on the outskirts. But if she had a home on the outskirts of town, then what was she doing at the B&B?
A fortnight ago Clover had moved home again. School was hectic while being a single mom. Her own mother had offered to help out with Rupee and things were fine but Clover wanted to give her son all the love and attention he deserved from her. The second night being home there was a storm, a big storm across the town and thankfully, no one was hurt, though a few properties were damaged. Clover's included. She had the option to stay in a five star hotel in one of the bigger cities, or travel to Ireland where her parents were currently residing, but Clover wanted to put some money back into the town she now called home and so she was staying at the B&B.
The local builders and handy men were helping Clover out with her home, they promised to keep it as cheap as possible but that wasn't Clover's style, she told them to do whatever needed doing and to not worry about the cost. She'd found a few of the towns men were helping free of charge and Clover just couldn't allow that to happen, these people were her neighbours and so she wanted to arrange something for all the families of the people that were helping too.
Clover sat at the breakfast table, Rupert in his high chair, sucking on some plain toast. Clover heard some noise and watched as a new couple came into the breakfast room. They looked all warm and cosy, wrapped up in their coats as they made their way in. Clover averted her gaze back to her son and gave him his bottle, though he was far more interested in dry toast he was sucking on. Clover wondered if there would be many more newcomers for the weekend, or just anyone popping in that she might be able to talk to for a while. Rupee was lovely to spend time with, but baby babble wasn't overly stimulating conversation.
