The man tour a piece off the pastry he had, throwing it into his mouth as he tried hard to ignore the people speaking about him. Yea, it was known who he was and why was it hard to understand why he was here. Sure, he hadn't gone to visit his father yet, but maybe he should send a quick letter so the man didn't hear from someone else... Like a student trying to impress the headmaster. Letting out a sigh, he pulled out a small piece of paper and pen... Their was sure to be a owl around that belonged to the Cafe Owner, she would let him use it, he was sure of that. Well, maybe he wasn't completely sure, but it was worth a try, right? As he wrote down the quick letter, he heard the sound of a door opening and saw a young woman come in. She was young, probably a student and he couldn't help but smile slightly as she looked around and caught his eyes as she scanned the area. It was only polite to smile when someone made eye contact with you.

The man put the piece of paper and the pen back in his pocket when the sound of something hitting the floor caught his attention. He wasn't the only one that was caught by the attention. Books were on the floor and no one was helping the girl as she began to pick them up. Standing up, he moved over towards her and knelt down, making some of the other people whisper and wonder why he was helping someone. "Star guides? Well, I guess your gonna be a future Astronomer..." The man mentioned as he picked up a couple and held them for her. "I think you need a new bag." The man mentioned as he looked at her torn one still hanging slightly by her shoulder.

The man helped where he could, grabbing a few here and there, though she was quick herself to grab most of them before he could get to them. "Thank you, and I haven't really thought about it..." The man smiled, handing her the books he had picked up and standing up straight. "Though, they say do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life." The man knew the phrase and he lived it, though recently he had just barely been doing enough to pay for his home. Sure, he was an MMA fighter, but after what had happened in New York, he was scared to get back into it fully. "I can take care of a new bag though..." The man watched as she turned one of the books into a bag and he smiled. She was a smart young woman, which was a good thing in this day and age.

"Your the headmaster's son. I thought you looked a bit familiar. But... why are they all so shocked to see you here?" The man looked around himself and then back at her. "I guess it is pretty big news when the headmaster's MMA son comes back for a little visit. But other wise, I don't know... Kind of awkward and hard to relax." The man mentioned loud enough to get a few people to turn away from him. The man smiled and motioned to his little corner. "It's kind of crowded today... Want to join me?" He figured he might get a few of the ladies off his back if he asked someone to sit with him and she was pretty and seemed like smart company. It would be nice to have a conversation with someone who didn't know about his fame in both the muggle and magical world.

The man noticed the odd look he got when he mentioned MMA. It wasn't an uncommon one when he spoke about it. Some of the younger witches and wizards followed MMA now, not the older ones like his father. They had an older thought on what was sport and it include magical sport only, not that of the muggle world. The man watched her put away the books and caught the look of the last one, which seemed like a romance novel. Well, she was like most young ladies... Romance was a thing with them.

"Sure, thank you..." The man smiled, at least he wouldn't be sitting alone anymore. And she would be better then a giggling girl or a gawking boy. "I can imagine that it is rather annoying and nerve wracking with all of the whispers and giggles and everyone staring at you like you've grown a second head or turned into a T-bone steak." The man chuckled as he walked back to the table and took his place after pulling a chair out for her so that way she didn't have to wrestle with a chair and her bag. "Though that last one I can help you with if you liked to be looked at that way." The man chuckled slightly and smiled, biting his bottom lip slightly.

"I'm Paul, by the way... Thanks for joining me." The man said as he noticed the waitress coming over and offering him some coffee. He nodded, handing her his empty mug and getting another full of hot coffee. It was nice to be treated by someone as an equal.

That smile was rather sweet, he had to admit that as he looked at her for just a moment. A good friend, he felt he had just made, even if this was the first and last conversation he had with her. It was better then a giggling, babbling blonde that had been trying to work up the courage to come over since he had first sat down. "Nice to meet you Paul, I'm Persephone." That was a pretty name and he wondered if she had a nickname or something, but there was no point in asking that. They had just met and he just wanted to have conversation and get to know someone new for a change.

The man followed her glaze for a moment, making eye contact with a few people before he looked back at the table. It was crowded, which wasn't unusual, but he probably should have waited to come at night or early morning when the kids were in class. "Thank you for inviting me." Paul smiled brightly. "Thanks for accepting." The man said as he sipped on his coffee."Even if I'm just playing interference to your fan club." The man smiled, biting his lip before he glanced up at her. "You figured out my plan... Thanks though, it will keep them from coming over here." The man said with a bit of a laugh. It was nice to see a smart young girl.

That smile had soften and her words came with a simple question. "So what drew you to MMA?" The man smiled as he had heard the question from both muggle and magical reporters. "Honestly... Not sure... I guess the excitement of it, the lack of magic involved and the hand to hand action." Oh sure, he loved magic, but the ability to do something without magic was an amazing thing. It was beautiful in all sorts of ways.

"I'll take one of those, please... This really must get annoying at times." The man sat back in his chair and looked around. "It does... Sometimes it fades away, but most the time... Not so much..."

It was nice to just sit down and talk. Unless it was family or a friend from school, it was rare, especially lately. The man liked it, the girl seemed to have good conversation, even if it was small for now. The man sipped on his drink for a moment, the whispers still going, but he ignored them mostly. "Some people are just lucky enough to be able to endure it I guess." The man smiled before he followed her gaze. The man hated when people got put in the spotlight because of him and he felt bad suddenly. He shouldn't have asked her to come over here. It put her at the center of attention and he had done that slightly with Ari... This was going to end badly for her. People would try and be her friend because of him... Or the girls would both her and make her thing the wrong things.

When she looked back at him, he smiled at her. "I might be tempted to just, I don't know... petrify some of them long enough for me to make my escape." The man smiled and gave a chuckle slightly. "How is that?" The man asked, interested in how she would scare them or petrify them so she could run away.

"So what else can I know about you?" The man knew there was a lot. Some thing he didn't want her to know about him at all. Glancing down, he smiled and looked at her. "I like muggle things... Cars always interested me... MMA of course has me hooked... I can change into a wolf, normally do when I feel like running." The man mentioned as he sat there. "They gave me the nickname 'Mad Madigan' in school because they said I had an anger problem." He mentioned to her as he sat there, not to fond of the nickname, but it followed him to MMA.

The man saw the smile, the slight shrugs of the shoulders and he wondered if he knew exactly what she spoke of. Sooner or later, they would have to make an escape. It was either be a goldfish in a bowl or move on and be free... "Just a temptation, one that I would bet you've felt at least once." The man smirked at her teasing tone and leaned in slightly so they could talk without other's listening. The closeness causing some of the girls to gasp slightly. "We wouldn't want to give them heartattacks." The man said to her, smirking and leaning back before he noticed the waitress and asked for a coffee.

The man enjoyed his muggle things, even if his father hated vehicles. It was how is mother passed away, so he didn't blame his father for hating that one thing. He didn't have to know about his own sports car. All he had to know was that he was well and alive. The man swirled the last of his own coffee in his mug, the mixture making a swirl like look. Well, it was cold at this point, was there a point in even finishing it? No point in letting it waste... The man drank the last of it, placed the mug down and looked at her.

"Well, male wolves are known to be... Assertive." The man looked at her as she laughed. It was true, but wolves were family creatures... Being alone, it wasn't something they enjoyed and he didn't like forcing himself away from his family. "I can turn into a raven." The man smiled. "An animal of freedom, playfulness... Solitude... No fear of the night." It was something he had heard from an indian woman one time.

"They say that our animal spirits are aspects of our personalities. I have to say, I can think of far worse animals to relate with than a wolf." The man smiled slightly and nodded. "Same for a raven."

"Mad Madigan... You don't seem to mad to me." The man smiled, looking down. Sometimes he wondered if he was going mad. Everyone said no, but sometimes he felt like he was. Leaning towards her, he glanced around before speaking softly. "You know, at one point, we might need to escape."
