I HOPE HE IS A GENTLEMAN
The day was nice but Jackie was bored. It seemed that everyone had something to do except for him. He didn’t have a class to be at, no job to go to. His mother insisted that he didn’t need a part time job, their family had plenty of money so that meant that he could just focus on school. For his first year it was nice, learning to adjust to the curriculum and work load, now it was just bring.
As dull as it was Jackie would rather just laze around. Soon he would have to go back home and start learning all the tricks of the trade that came with the family business. The business that Jackie was still sure he didn’t want to deal with. It was expected of him to take it over. Work by his father’s side until his dad was too old to deal with it anymore.
He fished around in his pocket finding a blut from earlier that he had been sharing with Pippin. That is who he spent most of his time with. Sometimes it was nice to just have the one or two close friends in New Zealand, compared to when he visited home. Louisiana was first seeing his dad and his Père then his mother and step-father. A trip home also meant stopping at Salem to visit his uncles and their kids as well. Jackie loved every part of his family there was just a lot and New Zealand had been some time that he needed to be alone.
Jackie laid back on the bench and inhaled instantly grateful for the company he did choose to keep and the perks of that company. Pippin was a nice guy, sometimes maybe a little too lost in the cloud, but Jackie couldn’t blame him. If he had to actually live with a sister like Maizie Jackie was sure he would be stoned constantly too. Recently he had to deal with the girl a whole lot more that he liked. She seemed to be on a mission and just didn’t get the hint.
