Things were progressing, it seemed. Well, they were certainly progressing quicker than he had thought they would. Of course, Sebastien realized that it wasn't exactly happening quickly. This had been almost eighteen years in the making. He and Dominique grew up together, they had shared a crib together and so much more. He couldn't really explain how awful he felt about hurting Delilah, but he knew that if he wouldn't have told her, things would have just been that much worse. He would have not only hurt her, but Niqui as well. Just the idea of hurting Niqui drove him insane and filled him with a rage that he rarely displayed. Sure, he was moody, but he wasn't angry. Not until people fucked with those that he cared about. If he were to ever be the cause behind Niqui's pain, Sebastien never would be able to forgive himself. In fact, if something like that happened, he probably would have pulled an extensive vanishing act. Then again, even when he did disappear, Niqui always seemed to find him. Seb wasn't sure how she did it, but she did. She always found him when he needed her most, and she brought him back from the precipice.
Sebastien had accompanied his best friend to her sister, Victoire's wedding, and they had fun. In fact, it was probably the most fun that the werewolf had taken part in in some time. He had even been social. Well, at least social for him. Being around Dominique made him want to try and reach out. Sure, she liked him just as he was, but she was so outgoing and he was just as content staying in his room forever. That was just kind of how it had worked out. But the two of them had always worked well together and whenever he lost himself, she showed up. She was the light that guided him out of the darkness. He shook his head, unable to believe he was the one thinking all of these weirdly romantic thoughts.
It was at the wedding when the two teenagers had sat down and talked. It was there that they decided that they were going to try for something more than just friends. It was a terrifying concept, but Sebastien knew that there was no one he would rather try this with than his best friend. Even if things went south, it didn't mean the end of their friendship, right? Well, that was what he was telling himself in order to calm the nerves that he had been feeling for the last twenty-four hours or so. He had asked Dominique to meet him out on the grounds of Hogwarts, near the Blake Lake, where he had set up a portkey to take them somewhere else. He fidgeted around while he waited and it was only when the wind carried her scent towards him that he turned, offering her a smile. "Hey."
