Overall Personality:Augustine is big. For the man life is a performance and he is center stage. It was how he countered the hard closeted childhood he had. Now he lives openly and loudly. Mostly. When out and about he is talkative and energetic. Friends are friends for life to Augustine. Mostly because the queer community is tight knit. He tends to gravitate towards woman because he feels that there is more in common there and he just likes to a do a pretty girls make up.

Though he loves making friends Augustin has his snippy moments. He also doesn’t stand for being close minded. unless it is his own family. If a person is not tolerant of his choices as a performer or his sexuality he will not hesitate to completely give them an earful of all the reasons why that is wrong.

His family is a whole different story though. For Gus it is hard to accept the idea that he could be disowned by the very people who raised him. So he has spent most of his life on the out skirts. His parents had two other boys to pay attention to, no need to really meddle in the issues of their middle child. It’s actually very self destructive, fueling a drinking problem that Gus refuses to acknowledge. Though he denies his family issues he will always voice that no one else should allow things like that to happen to them. It’s a dark secret that only very few know of.

So most of his love life is hard and fast. A night alone is not a night of fun. He loves pretty boys, also the more rugged types, really any man with a pretty face. He won’t get personal with them though, even if he wants to. Gus is ashamed that he is letting himself be compromised in such a way. Besides he is young so no need to settle down too fast right?

In Ophelia he has found a way to truly live freely. She is an abrasive person, she talks fast, and direct. She is proud and intimidating. She lives for her shows, the crowds and the cheers.

Overall History: The LaFoy family was well off. His father was in politics, and his mother had to be the perfect wife. Consequently that meant their boys were all picture perfect as well. To the public they were. Gus was a generally normal little boy, though he took interest in his appearance a little more than his brother’s did. That didn’t seem to be a problem to his parents. He looked well kept and senseable.

At the age of 11 an owl came with a letter he was to attend Beauxbatons academy, just like his eldest brother and parents before him. In school was did well, most subjects weren’t that hard to pick up. He seemed to make friends easily, he was a natural attention seeker. It seemed to not be a problem, that was until he started to understand his sexuality more. He would act on it mindlessly. That was when trouble struck. He started to get bullied. His brother would do nothing to help him if the rumors were true.

What was the boy to do, so he denied them said that it was outrages. The closeting was hard for Gus. He didn’t want to deny what he wanted. His family made him bury it all. With both of his brother’s in school there was no way he was going to let them know. Whenever they would go home for brakes I just solidified more and more that no one in his family would accept it. He would get grilled about what happened at school. His brother’s would call him out on the rumors and there would be that troubled stair from his parents. Luckily he was a master at denying everything somehow.

He tried to so hard to convince himself that he just needed to come out to them. It couldn’t happen. He didn’t want to be rejected. The summer of his fifth year he wondered into a club. IT was a group of friend’s idea. His girlfriends. That was when he was introduced to the world of drag.

Ophelia was born. For a while it was how Gus let himself hit on boy’s. Ophelia was confident, and beautiful and simply fierce. Because of Ophelia Jolee, Augustin made it through school without completely being broken down. Of course the bullying never really stopped. There were even times he managed to hide a relationship. They were always short, mostly hook ups.

After graduation Augustin left his parents’ house at took his drag to the next level. Being on his own made Gus blossom. He was able to be free when he was on his own. Ophelia was still very much a crutch but he was far more open about his sexuality.

He started to travel with his act. Augustin found a second home in America. It was possibly the best thing for the man. There he didn’t have to look over his shoulder. He really found himself when he was twenty one. The club scene was now his home both when he was Ophelia and himself.

Over the years while performing he had met many wonderful people that he had adopted as more of a family than his blood family. Sparrow he met while doing a show. Romeo he met much in the same matter. They are his second family in america.

One day he received an owl from Sparrow. A tragedy had happened and Gus dropped everything to be with his friend. He has been spending as much time as his friend needs him to be in America and only taking short trips back home here and there.

Gus took up a job at the laughing gnome between shows. He helped Sparrow move to a new place in New York. The more time he spends with his friends in America the more he is thinking of actually moving there. Sparrow's future business plans are tempting. Also the allure of more time with Romeo is also helping push him in that direction. Even if Gus is convinced that Romeo is far from considering him anything serious.
