So Fae didn't have a great deal of luck when it came to walking home. She lived just a few streets from where she worked in London and one wouldn't think it a big deal to get home but twice now she'd been attacked. Once by a random that she managed to escape from herself and the second time by a vampire of all creatures. Still she wasn't as fearful as she thought she would be. She apparated home now but she still didn't mind a walk about London. She kept to the main, well lit streets where there were always crowds and when she wanted to go home she disapparated from a side alley quite quickly or go to the ladies restroom of a crowded pub or restaurant. Either way there was little chance of her getting attacked again. Not in such public surroundings. Fae hated the idea of living her life in fear. She was a strong young woman and she had many years ahead of her yet. A vampire? Pfft. No big deal. So she'd been bitten and a man had lost his life. Of course that was hard to deal with, she thought about it at night and it kept her awake. She got a grand total of about four hours sleep from about 4am til 8am but that would change, eventually. The ministry was looking for this rouge vampire based on the description she had given but she'd never actually gotten a good look at him. She'd felt the rough of his beard against her soft neck and his fangs piercing through to her jugular. She wold have bled out if that other man hadn't found her and interrupted the feed and healed her. She only wished she could have gotten back to him in time but everything had become a blur in her mind. Tragedies happened and it was upsetting what she had been through. It had happened almost a week ago but Fae wasn't one to dwell for long, at least not in public and right now being around people seemed better than being at home, alone.
Fae entered a bar along the main street she'd been walking down. The sun had set a while ago and it was now dark therefore time to head home. She'd grab a drink or two and then head to a quiet, secluded spot and disapparate away. The bar she walked into was a busy one with a mix of people from all walks of life. It was about 7:30pm and people were getting their pre-drinks on before they headed to another pub and then a club for the night. She headed to the bar and ordered herself a glass of sweet rose. She was a girl with a sweet tooth and once she'd had a couple of wines here, relaxed a little, then she would move on to the ladies room or an empty corridor and head home.
One drink down and then another and Fae found that the time had passed. She'd chatted with a couple of nice people here and there that wanted to share her table because it got so crowded at times and she didn't mind. She liked the company up until the point she saw a couple of guys walking past with beards, quite large ones, ones like she had felt against her neck. Fae took a couple of deep breaths. She knew that there was nothing to fear from men with beards but she had a little hesitation. She couldn't help but think what if one of those men was the vampire. Fae drank the last of her wine and headed to the ladies. She stood in front of the mirror, reapplying her lipstick and sorting out her make-up, hoping the large line of women would go down soon. It didn't. Instead of waiting continuously she headed out of the ladies toilets and headed towards the back of the pub. The couple of guys she had previously spotted, the ones with the beards, were sat next to the corridor she had planned on heading down. They spotted her as she stopped walking suddenly and she just offered a quick smile before heading back towards the main bar area. She'd have to leave the pub and find a little, empty alley to apparate from.
Leaving the bustling pub Fae found that the street was just as bright as ever with it's orange haze from the street lamps but it was quite a bit quieter than it had been. The weather was horrid, windy and blowing her hair all over the place. There was a light spatter of rain that cleared up almost as quickly as it came. Fae was five shops down when it had finished. She wanted to hurry and get back to he place as quickly as possible. She should have waited for the ladies toilets to quieten down and then gone back in. The streets now that it was dark was a bad idea. Sure the main streets were lit well but she needed to go somewhere dark to disapparate. Perhaps she'd head into the next pub she found rather than take a small, dark alley.
