Tyreese had never expected that he would have come across a pretty girl in the coffee shop, but there was no way he was going to complain about it. The twenty-one year old had been in a handful of relationships before, but only one or two of them ever really been worth mentioning. Of course, the most recent relationship had been just under a year ago and he would have loved to make it work. Things just weren't in their favor, however. It wasn't the time or the place for them to continue being together and Tyreese knew that now. Sure, there was still a part of him that hurt over the entire thing, but he was an artist. That meant he was used to pain, he was used to having to channel it all somewhere.

As they walked together under his umbrella, he made sure to stay fairly close to her, not wanting to risk her outfit possibly getting ruined or anything else that girls generally freaked out over. "Well, we've already talked about how I work as a teacher's assistant in London. That takes up a lot of my time. Outside of that, I spend time with my siblings, try to guide them on the right path." Tyr could hardly keep a straight face as he said that. He certainly had more sway over Billie than Puck, but if they were really intent on doing their own thing and going their own way, he knew that it would take a fair bit of effort to actually stop them.

"I'll have you know, Miss Avery, you're the first random girl at a coffee shop that I've ever picked up," he said, flashing her a grin. That wasn't a lie, either. None of his other relationships had ever started in a coffee shop. "What about you? What do you like to do to keep yourself busy? I bet it's a lot of shopping, isn't it?" It was a tease about how he knew girls to be, but he hoped that she wouldn't take him too seriously.

It was surprisingly easy for Tyreese to keep his gaze from wandering down Shea’s body, looking for places where her white dress could easily be seen through. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to look, because he was a man, which made him naturally curious. He wondered what her body looked like and he wondered how her lips would feel against his. It was the little things, really. But Tyr was a gentleman, which meant that he kept his eyes forward, unless he was looking over at her face or glancing down to make sure that they didn’t miss a step.

He was sure his sister would be oh so proud.

It was already known that they both knew the Greyback girl. It was a bit of a common ground that they had. Not that he was going to start talking about his sister behind her back, but it was good to know that she was getting out and not letting her asshole father control her life because he’d slept with their mother. That bastard had broken apart the Atticott family and Tyr would never forgive him for that. Even he knew that there were more important things to worry about, though. Like Billie’s well-being and making sure that Shea got somewhere comfortable and dry before the umbrella decided to give out and leak all over them.

”I’m quite happy I made the exception as well,” he said, flashing a smile. His eyes moved forward and he gently lead Shea to a spot where they would be safe from the rain for a moment. Carefully, Tyr shrugged out of his jacket and held it out for her. He didn’t know how long this walk was going to be, so the least he could do was make sure that she was warm and comfortable. He wouldn’t be able to forgive himself if she caught something from all this when he was able to help. Once he had gotten her safely wrapped up in it, he put the umbrella back out and began their walk again.

”If you said you didn’t shop often, I would have to question your sanity. I haven’t met a girl that doesn’t like shopping.” Tyr was glad to hear that there was more to her than just shopping. ”The beach, huh? I’m pretty fond of that, too. I keep trying to convince my brother to get a group together and go on a vacation, but I don’t know if he’s going to budge. He’s got a new girlfriend that I haven’t even met yet. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say he was worried for us to meet!” He laughed as he said the ending part, because he knew that wasn’t true. There was probably a good reason that Puck hadn’t introduced him to Persephone yet. If not, well, there would be hell to pay.

This definitely wasn’t the way that Tyreese had been expecting the day to go. It was a typical day at the coffee shop for him. That meant it was some coffee, maybe something to eat, and then some more coffee. Running into a beautiful young woman just happened to be the icing in the cake. It was a turn of events that, so far, was leading to something a lot better. He wouldn’t have anticipated things turning out so well. Even if he had some magical powers and an ability to see into the future, this wasn’t what he could have predicted in a million years.

”No need to thank me, Miss Avery. Just doing what my momma raised me to do.” His mother had been through a lot in her life, but she always insisted that he be a gentleman. She insisted that of both of her boys. They didn’t need to end up like their father. Tyreese believed that Fenrir had taken advantage of his mother and the fact that his father didn’t believe the woman made Tyr furious. He couldn’t believe that after years of love and adoration, that they were going to separate over something like this.

It tore their family apart.

When Shea mentioned that she had a friend who might kill her, Tyr followed her gaze down to the shoes and offered an apologetic smile. He knew it wasn’t his fault, but he’d have hated for her to be killed over a pair of shoes. ”Well, if this is your last night alive, I say we make it a night to remember.” Upon seeing a large puddle that looked rather unavoidable, he slipped an arm around her waist. ”Hold on.” Tightening his grip enough to have a good hold on her, Tyreese picked the slender woman up and properly carried her over the puddle. It wasn’t until they were safely away that he set her back down. ”M’lady.”


”I’m not sure were. White sandy beaches and very blue water sounds kind of perfect. What do you think?” While it probably sounded like he was making small talk, the man was truly curious what she thought about it. Tyr laughed at her question and shook his head. ”No, no. I think he’s scared that I’ll embarrass him. Considering I’m the big brother, he’s probably right.” The last thing he would ever do was steal someone away from anyone, especially when that was his brother.

There were a lot of bad things that had happened in Tyreese's life, but there were also a lot of good things. He had two fantastic siblings and a mother that some people would kill for. Lyra did everything that she possibly could for her children and she had tried to make her marriage work, for the sake of those very same children. She had made so much out of her life and, while many parents would have been ashamed of a child that came about in the way that Billie did, there was nothing but love for the youngest girl. Most of the time, Tyr actually forgot that she was the product of something so taboo. So, when Shea complimented his mother, he couldn't help but offer the blonde beauty a smile. "She really is. It's not fair the things she's gone through."

This wasn't really the time for talking about those things though, so he let it trail off, instead focusing back on Shea. The blush that colored her cheeks was enough to have him giving a sly little smile, one that said he knew what he what he was doing and he kind of liked it. The effect that he had on her was one he hadn't been expecting to have, but there was no way that he could complain. Shea was stunning and anyone would have been lucky to have her. Of course, someone had to have her. There was no way that she was single. He was likely just one guy in a sea of them that were swarming to be with her. No, there was no way he would be able ot stand out among the crowd, but that didn't mean that he wasn't going to ry.

If this was going to be her last night on earth, he had to make sure that it was enjoyable for both of them. It meant treating her like a princess. Going around the puddle would have been an easy thing to do, but Tyr wanted something that wasn't seen as so easy. That was the reason he picked her up and carried her over that puddle. He wasn't going to let her ruin the shoes any further than what damage might have been done. There was, of course, the added bonus that he had an excuse to hold her in his arms. When the reached the other side and he set her back down, it was hard not to lean forward and kiss her. He had to remember that he was a gentleman. The last thing he wanted to do was make her think he only wanted to get with her.

"You're welcome, Miss Avery."

Almost too soon, the moment was broken and they were walking again. "Australia? That's kind of far. I don't know how my sister could get us all there." Despite having a bit of knowledge about magic, Tyreese didn't know everything. To be fair, he wasn't really sure he wanted to know everything. "Two older brothers, huh? Sounds like I'm really going to have to watch myself."

It was nice to walk next to someone and not feel the pressure that he often felt. He wasn't really trying to impress Shea, though he certainly did want to leave some kind of impression. Tyreese wanted to make sure that this beautiful woman remembered him when she had to return to wherever it was that she was going. Well, he was going to be finding out soon enough. When he thought it like that, it sounded kind of stalkerish, but he really didn't mean it that way! Tyr was really just glad that he was able to talk with her until they were forced to part ways. That was something that he didn't really want to think about, so he found himself hoping that they had quite a ways to go yet. Really, he wouldn't have minded walking around the block a few extra times just to be able to spend more time with her.

"Yeah, there seems to be a little too much of that going on lately. Billie's tough, though. It's what makes her such a pain to deal with," he said with a chuckle. For as much grief as the siblings gave each other, they really did love each other. There was nothing that he wouldn't do for his sister; hell, even for Puck. All they had to do was ask and he would do everything that he could to make sure that they were happy. That was part of why he wasn't pushing too much to meet Persephone. The last thing he needed was for Puck to lock the girl away in a tower where he would never get to meet her.

The mention of portkeys had his brow furrowing in thought. "I think she might have talked about those before. Kind of little spell that makes like teleporters, yeah?" It was clear that being knowledgeable about the wizarding world wasn't really something that he succeeded in. Thankfully, Shea didn't seem to care, which worked in his favor. As they walked, he stayed close to her, silently hoping that the rain would continue through the evening. He wanted an excuse to stay this close to her and the terrible weather provided just that. He wouldn't be any kind of gentleman if he let her walk out from beneath the shelter of the umbrella. "Sounds like you have a whole army ready to back you up."

He was flattered when Shea went on to assume that he had a girlfriend and even offered her a smile. "Naw, I don't think my imaginary girlfriend will mind too much. She's pretty chill," he joked.
