Lily squirmed into the dress, running it over her body to appreciate how it made her seen like she actually had curves. There was the small paper with the number 2 on it set on her bedside table, curious who would have the the matching number. She knew that there were a lot of people around the school who would jump at a chance to spend the evening with her, but just as many people who would jump out of the window to get away from the little redhead.
She slipped on her shoes and applied a light amount of makeup. Her ruby red lips, flawless porcelain skin and some light makeup on her eyes. She was hoping she had someone who she could tolerate for the dance, but regardless of who she had she would make sure she had a good time. She didn't know if it was because of her scrambled brains, or if she was just feeling better now that she wasn't in a constant state of hung over.
Lily grabbed her piece of paper and a small purse with her mediciation if she needed it, and some of the gummis that have been helping her so much. They kept her anxiety down and when she was relaxed, she was less likely to have another seizure. She waved to some friends and walked down the stairs to the booming Great Hall filled with students finding their pairings. She didn't see anyone with a number two yet, so she waited by one of the small tables giving small smiles when people walked by to check her number. Some of them looked disappointed when they saw the little redhead had a different number than them, some with a sigh of relief.
Lily knew that some of them were just terrified of Scorpius and didn't want to risk his wrath. She turned and poured herself some pumpkin juice, sipping it carefully so she didn't smudge her bright red lips on the cup too much. She smiled when she saw Ella and Benji, knowing that she was going torture the poor boy all night. Good for them though, two people who could have a conversation, but she knew that Benji was hopelessly devoted to her ditz cousin Crystal. Caine wouldn't have to worry about homicide quite yet.
Lily set her drink by her side and scanned the crowd again, curious who she was paired with for the evening.
