Work at the Gnome was almost relaxing. It was sure as hell going around and talking to people about’ all the reasons why you should join the death eaters.’. Yes he was dedicated. It was more all the traveling was wearing Parker out. On top of that he had to keep up with training. There was no need to get soft just sitting back and thinking that recruiting was enough.
That is what happened yesterday. He went to Alaska and he fought. It was grueling, but he got it easier than he thought he would. Parker still had to go back to Salem and walk around and be able to explain away his wounds. That is what he did. Parker ran into Alina that night, she seemed worried and it of course Parker couldn’t help but smile. He had honestly been more worried that he hadn’t talked to her all day.
The swelling on his lip had gone down quite a bit with the help of some potions. Still his knuckles were bruised and there was a butterfly bandage holding a cut together on his chin. Sparrow had given him a funny look when he walked in. He told the woman the same lie, a guy got upset after losing a game of pool last night and decided to punch him in the face. It seemed to work well enough.
The nigh had gone normal, some people asked him about the bruises. He would joke and laugh about it use the ‘you should have seen the other guy’ line. Things like that were terrible he hated using cheesy lines but knew that people ate it up.
There was something else on his mind the whole night though. That Leroy girl. He knew that she was staying at the Gnome. She knew that he was working there. It seemed to work out, easier to keep an eye on her. Parker had let his father know about her. Of course the man took it to far, ordered that he find her and take her down. Parker argued that killing her was a terrible idea. She was looking into death eaters if she disappeared while on that story that would only make it obvious that it was true. So now on top of all the recruiting and other jobs he had Parker had stay on this girl.
Parker knew that a relationship would only make things harder. This was one of those times were being single would help. He wouldn’t take back letting Alina know that he wanted this relationship though. He truly did. Now Parker just had to figure out a way to be a friend to the reporter.
