When Billie said that her brother was there, Nerys found her eyes bouncing around the room, trying to spot the other Greyback. When she saw him wrapped up in the arms of another guy, she realized that the girl before her was definitely right. Nerys was happy for him and it certainly showed by the smile on her face. Everyone deserved to find that person that made them happy and if they found each other already? Well, that just meant that they would have more time together to love one another. That was what everyone wanted, wasn't it?

It was definitely what she wanted for herself.

"You're trusting me to entertain you? I don't know how that's going to end up, but I'll give it a shot," she said with a laugh, readjusting to get a better view of the room. There was hardly going to be a complaint from her lips about spending the evening beside Billie. The girl was cute and she had a personality that a lot of people seemed to lack. Those two points alone were enough for Nerys to take a serious interest in her. There was no hesitation when she lifted her plastic cup to Billie's, flashing a smile before taking a drink.

She was prepared for the taste of alcohol, but it came on a little stronger than what she'd anticipated. The bizarre taste had her making a face as she tried to decide whether or not she liked it. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure he spiked it." Nerys took another drink before letting her eyes turn back to Billie. "So, any big plans for the summer?"

Nerys had never made her sexuality a secret. Well, to be fair, she never really figured out which way her sexuality ran. She liked guys and she liked girls. Really, she wasn't too picky about who she dated as long as they treated her right. They also had to get along with her friends. They didn't have to like each other, but they had to be civil or all bets were off. Most of her friends were practically like family, which meant that they came before anyone that she would ever even consider to date. Still, Nerys was the type of girl to give anyone a chance if they could show that they deserved it. There were even select few that got second chances and sometimes third chances. It wasn't always the best thing to do, but it was something that she did anyway. Giving chances seemed to be what the Gryffindor was all about.

She smiled over at Billie and dipped her head a little when the Hufflepuff said that she an honest face. There was a hint of pink that touched her cheeks, but she was hoping that her hair would cover the majority of it. It wasn't always the easiest thing to get Nerys flustered, but Billie seemed to be great at it. This wasn't the first time she had spent some time with the darker skinned girl and she really didn't ever want there to be a last time. Not only was Billie pretty, but she was nice. It seemed like she never had a bad word to say about anyone, even the ones who had broken her heart.

Nerys knew all about Lorcan Scamander and Alexandria Flint. They had both been cute with Billie, but neither of them seemed to care enough to stick around. That made her more upset than anything else. It didn't make sense how they could just up and leave Billie when she clearly cared deeply for them. "Oh, he decided he was going? That should be good for him." Her eyes turned towards where he was wrapped up in Bryson and she shook her head before looking back over at Billie. "About the same. My parents talked about moving, so we might do that. Nothing too extreme, just a different place in London. Apparently there's an old family home there that was left to us." She didn't really know a lot about it, but her parents seemed determined to go there. "I'm just hoping I get a big room and can do whatever I want with it."

Spending time with her friends during the summer was one of the most important things to Nerys. She loved having that freedom and thankfully her mother never protested it too much. In fact, she actually seemed to encourage it, which worked out in her favor. Even if her father didn't always agree. That was fine, though. He was still a good man and very protective of his only daughter; hell, she was his only child, so she would be more concerned if he wasn't protective over her. It didn't help that she had a taste for adventure, which often got her in trouble. She was a firm believer in doing one thing or another that would draw attention her way. It wasn't always good attention she got, but sometimes bad attention was better than none, right? That was what she had believed anyway. Besides, it wasn't like she was ever doing anything that was illegal. Gods no, she probably wouldn't be able to have as much freedom if that happened... Well, if you didn't count this underage drinking, but that was different!

"Yeah, definitely. I'm never too far away and owls can always find me." She had never figured out what it was about the birds that had them knowing exactly where to go and exactly who the letters sent out had to go to. That was part of the magic of it, she supposed. Once you knew, the effect it had on you seemed to wear off. It was kind of like when the muggles found out that the Easter Bunny wasn't real, at least not in the way that they percieved him to be. After they found out, the magic wore off and things weren't as beautiful as they were before. It was part of life, but it wasn't a part that anyone really liked.

Nerys found herself grinning at Billie before nodding her head. "I don't about whatever I decide to do, but they won't have much choice. Unless they end up wanting to paint over whatever I decide to do. Don't worry though, you'll be the first person I'll ask when it comes to painting." It was a messy job and as much as she wanted to say that she could do it alone, it was probably something that would be best done with someone else. She shifted a little bit before taking another drink. "Well, with no dates for either of us tonight, it means we don't have to be mindful of how much we drink! Especially since we can probably sleep off the hangover here." At least that was what she hoped.

Nerys would have been lying if she said that she didn't want to spend some more time with Billie. She enjoyed the Hufflepuff more than she enjoyed a lot of people. Well, okay, she liked a lot of people, but that wasn't really the point. Billie never seemed to judge her for being a little rough around the edges, even though she looked sweet as pie. Nerys wanted to be friends with everyone, but she wasn't about to put her own beliefs on the back burner for such a thing. No, she was very much going to say whatever came to mind and if people didn't like it, well, they obviously weren't people that she needed in her life.

Thankfully, Billie never seemed to be like that. It was cause for Nerys to get closer to her, to admire her beauty and wonder if maybe, just maybe, there could be something more between them. It didn't have to last forever, but it would be nice to see where things went. She knew that Billie had an interest in girls, or at least she'd had an interest in Alex. Maybe she could have an interest in her, too. It wouldn't be the worst thing to happen. She offered Billie a smile and shook her head, "You could never bother me." She didn't realize how much she meant that until the words left her lips. Billie really couldn't bother her. The other girl was too wonderful.

Almost too soon, she pulled away and went to refill their cups. As she moved away, Nerys watched her before offering a smile upon her return and letting her arm rest on Billie's legs. "Bad? I wouldn't say that. I'm kind of glad I didn't come with a date, either." It would have made things really awkward if they had, judging by how this evening was going with them.
