She’d given it a lot of thought and Fae had decided it was time for a change. There was a lot to change but Fae had organised it all. She was moving to Romania. She’d said her goodbyes to Wes and thanked him for having her. She explained her situation to Hannah and left with a heavy heart. She loved her time at the Leaky Cauldron and she loved getting to know the Longbottom’s and everyone she’d worked with over the years but she’d given up the rental place she’d had in London and she was moving to Romania, to work with dragons. It was crazy but as Fae stared at her reflection she knew it was what she had to do, if only for her own piece of mind. She told only a few people where she was going, her parents, Wes and Hannah. For now Fae only wanted family knowing and that was who she considered her closest family.
Fae pointed her wand at her head and with a wave and a couple of quick spells she watched as her hair grew and grew and became steadily lighter. She watched until eventually her hair stopped changing colour and found it was far more blonde than she had intended and it was quite noticeable. Fae bit her bottom lip as she inspected her new look. She was surprised, she looked to her own eyes and realised how bright they looked now, with her hair and her skin so pale the colour of her eyes just seemed to pop. She was certainly different and that was good, that was good she kept telling herself.
Fae made her way downstairs. Her apartment was no longer hers and so she’d been staying with her parents. She gave them hugs and kisses and the commented on her hair but it was time to leave. Fae had her portkey all set up but she was going to miss her mum and dad, still life had to move on and if she ever wanted to come back for a visit it wouldn’t be that far away, another portkey was always easy to get her hands on. She was going to miss her family but she’d be back for visits.
Fae stepped away from her parents and took hold of the portkey. 3 … 2 … 1. Fae was gone. She gripped onto the kitchen ladle tightly until she landed in Romania. She gently unfolded her bag and slipped the used portkey inside. Pulling the flap back over she looked about, wondering if she was making a mistake but she couldn’t stay in England any more and she didn’t want to burden either Rowan or Wes with her presence so this was apparently her next logical step. Fae was certain that once her nerves settled and she got comfortable she would be fine and find she would love her new life. She had to be trained properly but that was what usually happened in a new job.
Fae walked up to the homestead and knocked on the door with more force than she thought she could harbour at this current time. She just stood, waiting for it to swing open so that she could meet her new boss and co-worker. Luckily she did know the family from when she was growing up, a couple of visits here and there but that didn’t make this whole new chapter of her life any less daunting than if she was meeting complete strangers.
