Summer could not have come fast enough for the Dragomirs. River turned over in their marital bed and wrapped his arm around Brie’s stomach. Even while asleep, he was fiercely protective over his wife and his sons. If anyone told him at the beginning of the year that he would not only be with Brie Ledger, but married to her and have her bare him two perfect sons, he would think that the person was high and not sharing. The morning sunshine was just peeking through the windows and while his muscles were screaming from the quidditch practice the day before, he silently kissed the back of Brie’s head and slipped out of the bed. The boys were still soundly asleep in their bed, but he took the baby monitor to keep an ear out for his sons.
River arranged the blankets behind her back to account for the loss of his body heat. He tugged on his discarded boxers from the night before and slipped out of their bedroom, down the stairs and to the kitchen of their new home. River had a lot of pride knowing that he was able to give such a beautiful home to his wife. Brie deserved all of this and so much more, she was the perfect woman for him and he loved her madly. River yawned in his hand and pulled some ingredients out of the crisper and easily created a simple breakfast for his wife. Orange juice, pancakes, bacon and a side, of course, of her beloved jam. He was almost positive that his children would come out with purple hair or skin from the amount of jam that Brie had been eating through her pregnancy, but whatever made her happy. Once the pancakes were finished cooking, he slid them all onto a plate and then onto a wooden serving tray.
He was able to have the day off from quidditch practice, so he was hoping that he would be able to spend the whole day lazing around with his beautiful wife and perfect sons. Once River got to their bedroom, and managed to use some amazing skill to get the door open with his bare foot and elbow, he looked at his beautiful sleeping wife,
“Good morning, Brie.” He smiled at her, and settled back down with her on their bed.
