School had started and honestly Kasper felt relieved that he didn’t have to be back at the manor that he grew up in. The recent months had been a pain. His mother was nagging over and over about how he didn’t spend enough time with his family. She would ask where he had been all night. Kasper would figure out something to say. Friends mostly. He would force it through family dinners at a table that was too big for the small family.
Kasper was more annoyed about this ever growing shadow that he felt like his brother had. Especially sense his father’s passing and everything was divvied up. The ender Wilkes had it figured out, Kasper was always seen as the kid brother that needed to make sure he kept up his grades, was not staying out too late so that he was fresh and ready for the day when it came around.
If anyone where to ask the boy he would say that he had it figured out. He had his own little underground kingdom and it would only get bigger from here. Of course his reign would not be something he told his family about. Kasper doubted his mother would stand behind him dealing. His brother would probably just look down his nose with a sour look on his face at the news.
The halls of the castle felt a whole lot more like home than the halls of the manor. He walked down them with his robs donned proudly and the ‘Head Boy’ pin showing. As he walked through the crowds of other students there were different groups of people. Some of the kids were frequent buyers. Kasper would see them at the clubs he would supply them with whatever they needed for a good night. Then there were those that were purely from the school. He would help them out in classes joke as if they were friends. Honestly Kasper was not a friend with anyone. It was all people to help keep suspicions own and then clients.
Kas ended up in the court where there where a few of his peers sitting round, but not a whole lot. He sat on an unoccupied bench where he took a note book from his robes and a pen. He started to scribble in the book as the rest of the student body bustled about around him.
