This could possibly be the worst decision Ariel had ever made in hirs life. Recently the Ravenclaw had taken to finding antique jewelry online. When ze could get out of the castle and into a café those hours were spent paroozing sites in search of the perfect piece. Rarely did Ariel actually find something. A week ago though Riel finally landed on a necklace.
Normally ze wouldn’t have looked twice at it, all in all it looked plain. Not the designer thing that would actually call for hirs attention. It was because it was familure. When Ariel clicked on the picture to make it bigger hirs other hand clutched that the very similar neckless hanging around hirs neck.
At first Ariel was excited, a smile crept on painted lips. This had to be a listing from hirs twin. Killian had to be the one who put the necklace online. In the middle of the message Ariel finally calmed down enough to think all of it through. It could have been put up by someone else, a person who had found the necklace and just tossed it up for a quick buck. Still it was the only chance that Ariel had, after the last lead ze had dried up.
Ariel quickly typed up a message stating that ze was interested in seeing the piece and ze would be in town over the weekend if that would be acceptable. There was a small family owned coffee shop that Riel suggested meeting up at. Actually it was a muggle place that Ariel would hang around when ze was home for breaks. The owner was the kindest woman and her daughter was actually studying fashion design. Ariel of course would put in hirs opinions and help out. She was a talented girl. Hitting the send button was almost harder than typing the message itself.
What if it was Killian? It actually broke hirs heart thinking that hirs brother was getting rid of the necklace. Ariel would walk around clutching hirs own half. The two pieces fit together completing the coin that had the family crest on it. Killian’s was fashioned like a ring, Ariel’s was just a small circle that would fit in the center of that ring. Apart they could stand alone but together the image was complete.
There had been so many times that Ariel wanted to just pawn the thing. It was really the only thing that ze had left connecting hirmself to Killian. Now hirs twin was possibly not even in possession of it. The pieces at least belonged together even if this wasn’t the string that lead to hirs twin.
As soon as the last class was over Ariel packed everything ze would need for the weekend and was gone using hirs sister’s fireplace to floo from London to Zurich. There was a flimsy hello to hirs parents. They hadn’t been expecting their youngest and quite frankly Ariel didn’t find much of a reason to tell them why in fact ze was there. Instead Ariel faked a smile and said that ze was a little homesick, all the snow and festivities made hirm miss the family home. It seemed to work enough.
Of course Ariel didn’t waist time around the house. Ze hated that home so many ghosts crawled around there. It was hard to be in the room that ze used to share with Killian. As much as hirs parents would say that Ariel had to just let it go it never worked. It was insane to think that ze ever could.
Ariel was out the door almost as clumsily as ze had arrived. Ze knew he would be early but Riel didn’t want to take any chance of being late. Hirs heart was thudding. It wouldn’t be a dead end. Even if it wasn’t Killian Ariel could fallow the necklace backwards.
Ze had practically been running the whole way to the shop, probably looking a little crazy. With a soft smile Riel said hello to the woman who ran the shop. “Yes my normal would be fine thank you.” Ze took the table by the window as was noted in the message that Riel had sent. The cup of mint and lemon tea was set in front of hirm and Ariel swirled the small spoon around paying more attention to the street than the tea.

notes: uh yeah...this i=kind of sucks, i figure there was very little info passed between them, more like 'here is a good place to meet' sort of thing.]
