Sometimes she thought that she was living in some faerie tale. That she was still on the coma and this was just some beautiful dream that her brain created to help with the pain of it all. She thought about how she just imagined that she was with Gaspard in the little stone cottage. That Daisy was not real, because there was no way that one child could be so perfect and beautiful. Then, when she realized that no dream could even produce so much happiness, she was breathless. this was her life. She went from little orphan girl Ari to the soon to be Mrs Chavalier. She went from alone in the world, to a loving family in the Madigans, to a loving partner in Gaspard and a beautiful daughter in Daisy.
Little Ophan Annie could keep her daddy warbucks, she would take this life any day of the week. That was part of why it was so hard for her to part from Daisy's side for the several hours she was in class, let alone this bold new torture of her father insisting on taking her for a whole weekend. He insisted that the engaged couple needed to have some time together, and what better time than Valentine's Weekend. She gushed over all of the precautions that he would have to take with Daisy, earning a chuckle from her father. 'This is not the first baby in my house, mija, I know what to do with one.' She knew that she was being silly, but she couldn't help it. Daisy was one of the only truly good things that she's done with her life and she wanted to be sure that nothing wrong ever happened to her. She loved the girl too much.
Once her father managed to shove her from the door, Rebekah took over. The young women flooed to the Chavalier flat in Paris, and Bekah started at her lightning speed gushing about what Ari was going to wear for the weekend. Apparently she had just bought the most perfect peach dress that was sure to take her brother's breath away. Ari knew that Bekah meant well, it was just difficult for her to picture anything she wore as something that would woo her librarian. When they first got together she had been in torn jeans and an oversized band tshirt. She wore big headphones and snapped at anyone who got too close to her. He broke down all of her walls and helped her see who she was trying to keep from the world.
Would he even like her all wrapped up in the fancy dresses and makeup of the world that he fled from? Bekah simply wouldn't take no for an answer and dressed her with deaf ears to all of her protests. Once she was dressed, Ari made her way to Gaspard's former bedroom and knocked on the door. She knew that he arrived after her, but Bekah refused to allow him to see her until the project was finished. She could only imagine how Bekah was going to be when the pair finally got married.
"My love? It's me."
