Overall History: Life did not start off so well for Mason Beau Greyback. Left at the doorstep of an orphanage (how cliche), he spent many years trying to find out who he was or what he was doing in life. Many people thought of him as the quiet boy who would only speak when spoken to. Growing up was difficult without any parents. He had a basic education until he turned eleven. He had found a letter on his bunk bed, addressed to his exact place in time. Mason met with the a strange man outside the gates of his prison, and was told of the Wizarding community, and how he was part of it.

It took Mason awhile to understand that he was truly a Wizard. The man judged his dark, dangerous eyes as they bought him robes, a wand, his books and other needed materials. Everything was cheap, besides the necessary wand of course. At school, he started out as quiet, gradually turning into a more sarcastic, known badass, giving himself a reputation even if he hadn't ever done anything. He has received equal amount of detention as James Potter, making the two quickly become best friends.

After his six years at Hogwarts, during the summer before his seventh year, he is known to live in the Leaky Cauldron in Room Eleven, having opted out of living in an orphanage, or permanently having a home at Hogwarts. He didn't have too much money, so living close to Diagon Alley suited him. He did odd jobs around the area and used his money for rent, food, and on occasion he'd treat himself. Recently he had bought the latest model Firebolt broomstick, but those were among the most important things he owned. That, a ring he had been given by, he assumed, his mother, and the various books he loved to read.

He had not known of his family name until his third year at Hogwarts, although only he did go by it only after he had found out. He was aware of his state of a half-werewolf. He loved red meat, and sometimes growled when he was angry, but during the full moon, never had he changed. During the full moon, only a few things can be noticed in the days preceding it, such as:
