Overall Personality: Dean is energetic, lively, eccentric, and very "Joe-Cool". Meaning he can sometimes have a disposition and most would think he can be fun but calm at the same time. He is resourceful and quick-thinking, able to spin things to his point of view and find positive outlooks in negative situations. When thinking about how to solve a problem, he blocks out all outside distractions, even his friends's comments. Patience is not a word in his vocabulary, though and unlike most of his predecessors, he has to stay busy because he'd lose his mind out of boredom. Much like his ancestors, he shows a recklessness, but always had a grand scheme behind his actions. He was often smug, occasionally boastful. He is very kind and admired by children for his eccentric, tender, playful and childlike personality. He shows a great deal of compassion for children, unable to resist helping if one was upset or scared.

Dean likes to think aloud when he is panicking or stressed. He tends to babble about what he knew about a current situation to come up with a plan, believing that he would have one when he finishes talking. He also dislikes being around people who were too slow to figure things out. He often praises or congratulates himself on an extraordinary plan. He is often manipulative, putting elaborate plans in place and executing them, even if the plans emotionally hurt his loved ones, but he is one of those people that make it difficult for you to stay mad at. Dean is usually selfless, willing to sacrifice himself for his friends or for the greater good. His arrogance is a façade to hide his insecurities. Despite his willingness to sacrifice himself, and the fact that he cares deeply about his companions, he has admitted that he could be selfish at times. He also shows great sympathy for those who had suffered terribly at the hands of others.

When driven by anger or justice, he would act without hesitation to strike down those who opposed him, causing the downfall of his enemies. Overall History: Dean was named after Dean Thomas, the best friend of his father, Seamus Finnigan. However, his mother wanted to name him "Ronald" but his dad wasn't having it. However, over the years, dean started to suit him better, and when he looks in the mirror, he could never see himself having another name. He was told he had the features of his father, yet the color of his hair was from hi smother, although his most distinct feature was his Irish accent. Something that seemed to be rare in Hogwarts. However, he grew up in a nice cottage in Godric's Hollow, nearest family friends and others.

He showed signs of being magical at an early age, by exploding a vase in the living room, and seemingly everything in his path. After awhie though, he had begun to control some parts of it until he turned eleven and was sent his letter to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. His parents were delighted and found comfort in knowing he would be surrounded by the sons and daughters of many of their friends, encouraging him to make friends with them outside of get-togethers made by the parents. He was sorted into Gryffindor, the same house as his mum and dad.

Most did not even compare him to his mother, although he was quite well off in Divination, and was great at other subjects such as Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts. Dean learned how to make Fiendfyre during his fourth year, and found his two signature spells: " Stupefy" and "Reducto". Many knew not to get into a duel with him, as those two spells were also his "finisher" spells, where he would ultimately win. If you ever needed someone in a fight, you knew who to get. He may not have the biggest muscles or tower over his enemies, but if you ever let him get ahold of his wand, he could beat down.
