Overall Personality:
Liam always exuded a calm, assured air, and his voice "is low and controlled, but curiously mysterious." Liam is very passionate in all that he engages himself in, most notably Quidditch and potions. Because of his unpleasant upbringing, Liam became solitary, suspicious, and practical. He was always wary of everyone, from strangers to his closest friends. He will not hesitate to defend himself or whatever he holds dear, no matter the cost to others. Liam is also very intelligent and strong-willed. He protects his mind behind nearly impenetrable barriers at all times, and has mastered occlumency.
Perhaps because of his indomitable will, Liam is also quite stubborn on occasion. Whenever he makes a decision, nothing can change his mind. Liam has strong and independent survivalist instincts due to his difficult past and is good at thinking outside the box. He is not socially adept and has a hard time making friends due to the emotional strain on his life which has made him hard and cold. He is more concerned about feeding his family than being social, making him awkward around people. Though Liam can be rather blunt and cold, he has a very vulnerable side which he only shows around his family. He is not very good at acting for the camera and comes across best when he is himself. Liam is very strong, stubborn and determined. Often, he will react first and ask questions later. Even though he can sometimes be a bit self-centered and self-reliant, he does have noble traits, protecting those he loves.

Father: Cormac McLaggen
Mother: Sylvia McLaggen (neé Redstone)
Siblings: N/A
Birth Place: Paris, France
Current Residence: West Country, England
Overall History: Growing up could've been easier for Liam McLaggen. In a massive understatement, his father wasn't the best parent, for reasons nearly everyone knew. His dad had been a massive brat growing up, and was even more so now. But he still admired him, because he fought in the war. The second wizards war, and he did a mighty, damn good job of it too. Killed some death eaters and managed to stay alive. But nowadays it was hard to get his father's attention, and he often worked...if you could call being a professional Quidditch player "working". He was the keeper for the Falmouth Falcons, and Liam's mom, Sylvia Redstone, who had taken over for the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. His parents rarely had any time for him.
So there he lived, in none other than Godric's Hollow. Liam did everything. His homework, cleaning, cooking, laundry, and fit whatever else he could into his life without his father noticing. He played drums to vent, the drum set he bought was used, but he hid it in his room, otherwise known as the attic. His father never went into his room, and Liam was thankful of that. Sometimes at night, you would see Liam sit on the stone steps of his house, where he would stare at the stars. Crying was never an option for him, he wasn't even sure if he could express sadness, or if he even had the ability to shed a tear. He would just be silent, and you could tell he was troubled. The nights he spent on that roof were endless. Then he got his letter.
It wasn't a shocker to him. He was a half-blood, yet his father said there was a one in a million chance that he wasn't magical, yet he showed signs earlier than expected. However, it wasn't magic that truly caught Liam's attention. There were two things. Flying and potions. His family was quite rich, from his mother's side and father's, he had some pretty good things in that house. But he had dug up some old potions books when he was maybe nine years old, and ever since has wanted nothing more than to make some of his own. And flying came naturally, though his mother once told him in private that he was better than his father. Cormac had been disappointed his son did not want to be a keeper, but showed absolute promise as a beater, and even could be a temporary keeper, as his father had showed him the ways of being one. Liam didn't care for the game much, as the flying was just something he looked forward to every game. He has a latest edition Firebolt, which he keeps safe from anyone's touch but his. He often practices in a field by London, yet he knows to keep his distance from muggles. He does befriend some, as he did when he used to go to regular schooling in Britain, but after he turned eleven, he was sent to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to study magic.
