Overall Personality: Crystal acts more like a Hufflepuff than a Gryffindor even though she had not been placed in Hufflepuff. She is a quiet person most of the time and kind of contemplative. She is always thinking about life and what she wants to do with her own life after Hogwarts. She doesn't talk to a lot of people except for her family and parents.

Crystal is a very caring, loving person. She loves her family, friends, and pet cats more than anything in the world. She never used to think of herself as a cat person. She loves muggle things even though she comes from a pure blood family she has always wanted a dog but only cats are allowed at Hogwarts. She just loves things you can snuggle with.

Crystal is very into hugging people. It goes with her loving nature. Whenever she sees her parents after getting off the Hogwarts express to go home for the summer she will hug her parents very tightly and not let go for a good long while. She will hug her other siblings if she runs into them at school anywhere even though her fourteen year old brother and sister are in the same house as her.

Crystal is generally a very happy person. She is rarely sad unless she is extremely upset about something but then she just bounces right back. She may act like a ditzy blonde most of the time but she likes to think she isn't ditzy at all and she hates when people assume she is ditzy without getting to know her. Sure she may giggle all the time and she may act ridiculous if she sees a cute boy but she isn't ditzy.

Overall History: Crystal Longbottom is Neville and Hannah's third child. She has always been a very happy child and content with life. Nothing in the slightest ever bothers her except maybe for the fact that she has never met her grandparents. She never bothered to ask her father about Frank and Alice Longbottom because she is afraid of upsetting him. Crystal loves her father very much and would never ever want to make him sad or angry even though he has tripped over her cat a few times. She always promised herself she wouldn't leave her cat out during the summer or teach the cat not to get in her father's way. Anyway Crystal is definitely very curious about her grandparents but whenever she looks at her father sometimes it seems as if his eyes are haunted by something and she has a feeling that asking about her grandparents would be a very bad idea.

Shortly after she was born her father's Gran got very sick. Crystal was very grateful to get to meet her father's caretaker even though she was probably very young when it happened so she doesn't remember much. It made her sad that the woman who had taken care of her father all these years would never get to see his children all grown up and she knew she would be proud of him. She felt weird for getting upset about a woman she had only met once and wasn't even her caretaker. Still if she had been important to her father than she was important to her too.

Now Crystal is a fifth year Gryffindor and she feels like she doesn't belong because of her personality. Sure she knew her father was a Gryffindor so she assumed that's how the sorting hat knew she was better suited for Gryffindor. However her mother had been a Hufflepuff and Crystal felt it was better for her. She remembered when she was first being sorted the sorting hat considered Hufflepuff at first but then changed its mind and shouted out Gryffindor. She didn't mind being in Gryffindor though and she really liked to make friends. Maybe there was a part of her that was Gryffindor that she didn't know about.
