Play-By:
Hair Shade: Dark brown
Hair Style: Janie's loose, brown curls come to a tumbling stop just above her shoulder blades. She likes to keep it out of her face and does this by either pushing it back with a thin, black headband, or a multitude of brown hair pins. To change things up a bit, she sometimes wears her hair in a tight, neat little bun just below the top of her head.
Eye Color: Pale grey-blue
Build: Thin and Frail
Dressing Style: Outside of Hogwarts, Jane likes to wear pastel colours accompanied with black, grey or brown. She very rarely dresses in t-shirts and jeans, figuring that they look rather 'slouchy' and 'untidy'. Even on casual days, she dresses in slacks or a skirt, however, if she knows she is to get dreadfully messy, she will, somewhat reluctantly, settle for jeans.
At school, Janie dresses in her uniform as is specified in the regulations, down to the the number of stripes allowed to be shown on the tie. Her buttons are always done up all the ways, her shirt is always tucked in her tie is always perfectly centered. Her only alteration to the uniform, is a single, teardrop shaped ruby which is hung on a thin, silver chain. Even that, however, is worn under her blouse.

Father: Birth father: Fenrir Greyback, Adopted father: Joseph Minark
Mother: Jillian Minark
Siblings: Jeremy Minark
Others:
Birth Place: ABQ New Mexico
Current Residence: London, England
Overall History: Janie's parents met and fell in love at a small, local coffee shop in Central London. Jillian, her mother, had opened the cafe after graduating from a culinary school in the heart of France. It was a cold a dreary day in mid February when Janie's mother first came across Joseph Minark, who, at the time, was a professor at the Royal Academy for Dramatic Arts. She had just dismissed her employees for the day when he entered her shop. The two of them hit it off almost immediately and ended up chatting for about half an hour after closing time. When they finally parted, the promised that they would see each other again soon; Joseph came back the next day.
They continued to visit each other everyday for several months, sometimes at the coffee shop and other times at other places. They would often spend hours upon hours talking, laughing, and joking and neither would return home until very late. For both of them, time without the other went by incredibly slowly. Just a second together was more precious to them than a river of gold. Finally, they got engaged, and then married, feeling as thought they could not live without each other.
About a 5 months later, Jillian gave birth to their first child, a boy who they named Jeremy. 5 years latter, Jillian fell pregnant again, however, the child was not Joseph's. Mrs. Minark had been raped in an ally way on her way home from the grocery store. Mr. Minark was furious.
When Jillian was pregnant with Janie, Mr and Mrs. Minark decided to leave the UK as to avoid the Minestry searches, fearing that, if Joseph's werewolf blood was discovered, there would be persecution to follow. What's more, she wanted to escape the momories behind Janie's conception. They choose New Mexico simply because Janie's father had family there.
When they arrived in Albuquerque, things went well from the beginning. Though they had not been able to settle in the city itself, they managed to buy a house in a place called Rio Rancho, which was another, even smaller city, located on the outskirts of Albuquerque. Joseph had managed to secure himself a job at the University of New Mexico and his son had been accepted into the Salem Institute of Witchcraft and Wizardry when he was 11.
They managed to stay there for many years, keeping a low profile, until, one fateful evening, a little girl had been found on the city outskirts, mauled to death. Both Jillian and Joseph knew it was him and so they fled, again, before rumors started to fly. Jeremy, who was 15 at the time, stayed with his grandparents so that he could finish his studies in America.
Back in the UK, things had not gone so well. Joseph had not been able to secure a job, forcing Jillian to have to work instead. The couple's relationship grew tense and arguments were frequent. The Minark family was no longer the happy place it had one been. Janie was glad to receive her Hogwarts letter declaring her acceptance, as it meant that she would not longer have to put up with her ill tempered parents all the time.
As the years ticked by, nothing incredibly special happened to Janie and her family. Her parents grew more temperamental and stressed, wishing they had never left their good life in America. Janie's brother visited them often, mostly in the summer when he was out of school. Despite his infrequent appearances in her life, Janie grew very close to her brother and wished she could see him more often.
In her sixth year, Janie's life took a turn for the worst. It was the summer holidays and her brother was visiting them as he always did this time of year. It probably would have been one of her better summers had Janie not woken up one night to find her mother and brother lying dead in the kitchen floor. The were hardly recognizable as human anymore. There body's were so broken and bloodied... Janie screamed and ran up the stairs to find her father, taking with her a kitchen knife, in case the murder was still in her house. There are times when Janie wished she had simply left the knife and gone upstairs unarmed, for it meant that she would have never killed her father. It had been an accident, really, a gut reaction. When a huge bundle of greasy gray fur came hurling itself at her, she plunged the knife through it's left eyes Only after it was dead did she realize what, or who, it was. She immediately called the police, crying on the phone and begging them to help her, however, when they came, they didn't know what to do either. Lying on the floor, blood pooling around the spot Janie had stabbed it, lay the body of a werewolf. The case was kept under low profile, as to not start mass panic. After all, there was no such thing as werewolves, right? At least, not in the muggle world. Janie was never accused of murder, nor was her father accused of homicide. Instead, they were all said to have been killed by a rabid dog and Janie was declared to be 'lucky'. Nothing more came of it except that Janie was sent to live with her Aunt and Uncle.
