Overall History: Calvin grew up in a very rich and influential pureblood family. They were a very proud people, though reserved. They though little of those less pure families, muggleborns especially.
When Calvin was born into the Darcy family, he was the sole heir to everything, being the only male child in the family. He hated the pressure put on him, the pride his family had, and their prejudice against many other witches and wizards. Whats more, he hated the way it rubbed off on him. While he wasn't as bad as his mother and father, he would still make a comment here or there, or say something that wasn't quite true.
When he graduated Hogwarts, the pressure his family put on him frustrated Calvin greatly. They wanted him to marry well to another family like their own. He didn't want to, and was severely opposed to the idea.
And then he met Anastasia. She was the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on. With in an instant, he knew she was the one for him, except, she was a muggle. His parents were furious and would have disowned him in an instant was he not their only child.
It was a day before their wedding when he received the horrible news of her death. She had been hit by a car and the ambulance hadn't made it in time.
Calvin was devastated, he swore that he would never love again. He left Yorkshire and his family and moved to London, getting a job at Hogwarts as a history teacher. Anastasia had loved history.
