Vance is a tolerable person to be around on a good day. He likes to laugh and have a good time like the rest of humanity. On a good day he is mildly polite and can strike up a decent conversion. If he takes a liking to you then he’ll invite you out on the town to party with him. That is where he likes to test people in his environment. In his eyes people become their true selves when they party cause they are full of booze and god know what else to do anything else.
He is known to be a bit of a manipulator. If he wants something and you have it, he’ll sweet talk you and leave you standing there with nothing but your shame. He takes great pleasure in this because it’s a type of high for him. Knowing he can play with people’s minds and have them like putty in his hand. It does help that he has an ability to help get inside of people’s mind. Doing this while under the influence of drugs, he perceives himself godlike.
Vance on a bad day isn’t pretty. He doesn’t have a control on his temper thanks to the drugs and is quick to lash out. He is known for starting a few fights and even walking away from a couple. There are a few shitlist with his name on the top so he has to be careful when walking alone on the streets of London.
When he is backed into a corner and knows that fighting isn’t an option, he’ll try his luck with his charm and wit. He has a talented tongue and can fill your head with empty promises and hopeless belief. It works really well with women but back alley thugs are a different matter. Some times it works…or times he is healing a few broken ribs and a busted lip.
All in all, Vance is a con man and has a nasty track record.

Growing up was decent for Vance. He had his mother and father there and his sister. Of course Cora was older than him and never wanted to play with a kid but soon he had his baby sister, Nellie; to play with. As soon as Nellie was born, Vance felt a bond with his little sister. When she was old enough to stand, he took turns with his mother to watch her and feed her. As children, they were inseparable. They would build fonts in his room with blankets and lego towers, go on adventures in the living room and make messes in the kitchen. He thinks fondly of those memories of their childhood.
When big sister, Cora, went off to Hogwarts things weren’t too much different. Of course Nellie didn’t fully understand what it meant at the time and he did his best to reassure her that she will be back soon. He told stories of Hogwarts and the magical world and the wonderful things that they would learn. They continued to grow and play until Vance got his letter from Hogwarts. At first he was excited. All the things Cora told them while she was home for the summer sounded awesome. He couldn’t wait .
When he told Nellie, she just cried. It had surprised the young boy and when she had told him that he was leaving too, he understood. He would be leaving her here alone for the next two years. It broke his heart and asked his parents if there was something that could be done. There was nothing.
The follow weeks his mother took him to different shops to gather all his school supplies he needed for his first year. He was excited but still felt horrible for leaving his sister by herself. When the day came to catch the train, his sister wouldn’t let go. He had to give her his favorite toy and promise he would write as often as he could.
The years flew by and soon Nellie was accepted into Hogwarts and with luck, they were in the same house. Once again they were connect at the hip, but unfortunately a few of his dorm mates got him into the party scene. They would sneak out during the weekend and stay out partying and drinking. When Nellie had asked to tag along he couldn’t say no. But soon he regretting it, because his dear sister fell hard into the lifestyle . Soon she was taking drugs and when he found her passed out on the ground, he thought he was going to die.
Things just got worst from that point. Their parents got a divorce and Nellie took it the hardest. She had blamed their father and Vance just let her vent her feelings. He didn’t want to get involved. One night he was out with some friends and wasn’t feeling up to partying so he went home early. When he walked in the door he heard the screams of his sister and he ran over to find his father stand over her and blood on Nellie’s face. He lost it. He dragged his father to the ground and started to pound his face in.
Since that night, he kept a close eye on his baby sister. Nellie was his other half and if anything happened to the girl he is as good as dead.
