Overall Personality: True to a Gryffindor student's ideals, Griffin was true-hearted and brave. In his youth, he was a witty and talented wizard, but also quite an arrogant and mischievous troublemaker. Later on, he occasionally demonstrated himself to be reckless, as well as having the demeanor of his youthful self. However, Griffin was very intelligent, calm, tolerant, fair-minded, brave, kind and good-natured, also he managed to retain an ability to see the good in almost everybody and was extremely forgiving. He also had an excellent sense of humor. Griffin was quite perceptive, with an uncanny ability to guess the thoughts of those around him. This is especially clear in his conversations with his brother.
Though he displayed bravery on many occasions, Griffin held deep-seated feelings of shame and fear of rejection which at times led him to consider backing down from those who stood above him, making him seem like he wasn't a good leader, though he is. Griffin was the more outgoing, daring, and sarcastic of the twins. Griffin is a clever and talented wizard, but was very mischievous when he was younger. He could be arrogant and boastful. However, he ultimately grew out of this, losing some of his arrogance and becoming enough of a responsible student and leader to be Prefect alongside his brother; though he never entirely lost his rebellious side, it was clear Griffin left Hogwarts a much more mature person than he had been upon entering it.

Overall History: There's much to say about Griffin Garrick Ollivander. It might start with the simple surname of the male, seeing as he is the grandson to Garrick Ollivander, a prized Wand-Maker of the nineteenth century, and a part (though not large) of the two wizarding wars. Garrick Ollivander is still very much alive today as magical folk have a longer lifespan than muggles, although Ollivander is a bit frail still from the last war. He and his wife had a son nearly twenty years before the First Wizarding War began, making it the early nineteen-sixties when Griffin's father was born, Gregory. However, Gregory did not marry his pureblood Ravenclaw wife until he was in his mid forties, just after the second wizarding war. They fought bravely alongside many other people, however, due to the damage from the war, Gertrude did not have the right health when having a baby. Her two twin boys caused her death during childbirth. This caused Gregory to suffer great depression, eventually committing suicide when the two boys were just about to turn one.
Their lives truly began when they were taken to their Grandfather, who was eighty-one years old when he was told of the two boys who would now be in his care. He and his wife raised them as if they were their own, though it was quite difficult as they were quite old. Though the magical blood kept them quite alive, his wife was quite frivolous and pampered the kids, Garrick was a little more frail. Though he told the boys stories others would be jealous of, dreamed of, things so unheard they were astonished. His role in the wars made the boys stay up at night and read history books. His talent for making wands ran in the family blood, and the twins received that talent, that involuntary gift in the ability to create wonders for the magical community. In England, that is.
Now, moving to one twin. This is about Griffin. Griffin was the sarcastic twin, the outgoing one who was quite popular at school. Though, mind you, he got into quite a bit of trouble sometimes. At age eleven, the Sorting Hat wasted no time in calling out the red and gold house of the lion to belong to Griffin, though he missed his brother who was sorted into Ravenclaw. Somehow, he figured out this was probably a better idea and Griffin must have thought it through while he was up there. Because if the two were in the same house, he was sure it'd be in ruins by the time they left it.
Griffin loved Astronomy class the most out of any, and it was because of this that he got into Quidditch. You could say it was him who got his brother hooked too, and the two of them were the Seekers for their house teams. It was a fierce battle between the two of them, but there was no doubt that because Griffin was a bit leaner, that he was more lenient to being a Seeker, though there were times when Godric would catch him off guard because that brother was tactical in his movements.
After graduation was when the two twins did say goodbye for some years, though they corresponded through letters often. Godric had his own path as Griffin had his. He became the Captain and seeker for the Falmouth Falcons and lead the team to victory two years in a row before quitting to join his brother back at Hogwarts, feeling as though the two of them were better off together than apart. Plus, he'd have more time to really understand this school. And maybe cause a little more chaos.
