Overall Personality:
Fenrir wanted an Alpha for a son, and that is definitely what he got, though not in most of the ways the old wolf would have ever wanted. First off, Aidan is desperate to not infect anyone in any way. He actively avoids touching people when he can, particularly when he's angry, and is very careful when he is wounded, or someone else is. Despite this fact, he does have qualities that make him a good leader, and he likes to take charge when he can.
It has been said, on occasion, that Aidan Greyback overthinks things - and this is mostly because he does. Since he likes to have control over every aspect of his life that he can, he takes thinking to the extreme, considering every possible outcome, and the steps he needs to take to reach the end he wants. This occasionally means lying, and subterfuge, among other things that he really shouldn't do, but in the end he feels it is all for the greater good.
His loyalty is hugely akin to that of a well trained dog, though he is liable to try and punch you if you ever say good boy to him in that tone. You know the one I'm talking about. He'll be there for you, no matter what, but you have no control over that fact. He does. He is a decent enough student, though he doesn't focus as much as he should. He has no real direction in his life, save to oppose his father, whereever the bastard may be.

Overall History:
When Fenrir Greyback decided to ensure his bloodline and legacy would continue, he did so in the stupidest way possible. In the many victims this man claimed throughout his reign of terror, the ones who paid the deepest price were the mothers of his brood. Greyback wanted a litter of pups, like a true wolf. He wanted a group that he could some day be alpha over. The problem was, he didn't really stick around to make sure things went according to plan.
Lycanthropy is fickle. A full on bite can turn a human, or kill it, where as a simple slash and drool can run the gambit of maiming, to causing a partial infection, to all out infection. It all depends on the person, and the same is true with children born of with wolf blood. Some of the children inherit the whole shebang, where as others inherit only the cravings - the feral nature, the mood swings.
Aidan had always been told by his mother to consider himself lucky that his father hadn't stayed around, at that he was perfectly normal, and unlike that beast in any way. Of course, she wasn't entirely right. Aidan was lucky, in that he didn't have the full affects of the lycanthropy in his blood, but he was affected. Some nights, he became so violently moody that he would rip his stuffed toys to shreds, only to shuffle them into the trash before his mother could see them, and always lied, and claimed he had lost the toy, or given it away. She was never aware of the truth of the matter then - never aware that her son was just as much a victim as she had been.
She began to sense this was the case, however, as he neared his eleventh birthday. He was getting moodier - quieter as time went on, even getting his Hogwarts letter didn't change the dour expression on his face. Her once little ball of sunshine and pranks was sullen, and it perplexed her. He came clean the night before he left for school. Somehow, he had managed to hide it from her for this long, and it made the boy cry when he told her the truth of the matter. He was just as tainted as his father. She instantly shut out these fears - telling him that his father wouldn't have bothered to hide these things from her, would probably have flaunted it. The man relished in pain, and while Aidan liked a good prank or mishap every now and then, well, he didn't do it to hurt people.
His first year came and went quietly. He was a decent student, particularly interested in Potions and Charms. The mention of Werewolves in Defense Against the Dark Arts - even in passing, made his skin prickle, and everything seem on edge, however. He knew most of the facts about his father - just didn't know the man's name.
In those first years, he was known as Aidan Turner, but that would all change come his third year. At the beginning of his third year - only weeks into it - he came down with a serious case of Dragon Pox. It was beyond the means that the Hospital Wing had to offer, and he soon found himself in Mungos. Now, normally, his mood swings and more animalistic side that came out around the full moon were something he could contain, but between being sick, and being poked, prodded, and having potions fed down his throat, he lashed out hard - to the point where he maimed one of his nurses. Due to the nature of his outburst, and the signs he was showing, the doctors deemed it best to administer Wolfsbane. The only problem - they administered a bit too much to a thirteen year old boy who was only experiencing minor effects.
It nearly killed him. Of course, the Ministry got involved. They had a child on their hands who had maimed a nurse at the hospital, and in turn had nearly died. The facts needed to be dealt with, and soon. Despite the fact that Aidan was well enough to return to school, they confined him to the home he shared for his mother, until they could decide just how much of a threat he was.
During this period of house arrest, Aidan met his father. The incidents at Mungos weren't something you could just keep out of the news, and the papers were very quick to declare that the boy was not a werewolf - at least not fully. This little tidbit didn't set well with Fenrir. His son - particularly his firstborn - was supposed to take over for him - supposed to be the Alpha when Fenrir was not only too old to continue, but the boy was old enough to best him. There was only one thing for it, and the next full moon, before Aidan went back to school - deemed a non-threat by the Ministry at last - the boy was attacked.
His mother couldn't hide his father's identity anymore, and came clean about it all, sobbing at the side of his hospital bed. Aidan's first worry was school, of course. Would he even be able to continue? The Ministry was tempted to tell him no - under no terms would he be allowed to place himself in that position, to risk the lives of his fellow students, when Minerva stepped in. The Headmistress reminded them about what had happened in the past - that the school already had precautions in place for such a thing. They had no choice but to agree to her terms. The next year, Aidan would return to school, but would have to retake the previous year.
Because of this, he watched most of his old friends - his former housemates and roommates, graduate last year. He should have been there, if not for his father. He should have been laughing among them, not preparing for his own final year. Of course, he's made friends with people in his new group, but it isn't the same. And who could ever say it would be.
One of the conditions of his return, was the change in his last name. Going by Greyback, it was a little difficult at first, but Aidan has made a name for himself - the boy who overcame it all. No one had best stand in his way.
