Overall Personality:
Generally speaking, Sorin is, for all intents and purposes, a good person. He was raised to be kind, compassionate, and understanding, and to just let things roll off his shoulders without getting overly angry. This is all well and good, certainly, but he has also learned that sometimes, you can't just let everything go. Sometimes, someone is in the wrong, and you can't just ignore that fact. This knowledge occasionally bothers him, but he knows it is important to his up and coming teaching career. Because of this, however, he also has a habit of doing his best to promote peace between those around him.
He has his moments of complete seriousness, but they are insanely fleeting - and rightly so, considering who he is related to. Mostly, he takes everything into stride, not letting things be too serious, or frivolous, but seeking some sort of balance between the two. Any day that Sorin can get through without once frowning, is a good day, at least in his own, personal opinion.
He isn't very good at speaking to girls he takes an interest in. All of his normal charm and cool seems to sort of filter off, and he's left with fuzzy blankness, which is a bit comical, really.

Overall History:
"I was almost a bastard - but only almost. According to my grandmother, I would have been the first in Weasley family history, though my grandfather says he wouldn't be too sure about that.
Twenty-someodd years ago, my father, Charlie, met my mother while working with dragons. Now, I know what you're thinking. Relationships with co-workers are unwise as it is, and when working with dragons, the last thing you want is the bad luck of a scorned woman following you around. One wrong move on her end, and you're the one scorched. That didn't stop dad, though. He had thought he would always be a bachelor - even after the War, and then he met Mum. At first, from what I understand, there was banter, and a challenge - which makes, considering just who my dad is, and the type of woman who would attract him, really. In any case, they met, and they hit it off, and they started dating. One thing led to another, and let's just say my grandmother was chasing my dad around with her wand raised, while he tried to "blame" my mother, and she laughed about it for hours.
Of course, my first friend when I was a kid was my dad. What kid wouldn't be best friends with the man who kept dragons? Seriously? I can honestly say my childhood was lively, though I wouldn't say it was super amazing. We were well off enough, certainly. Dragon-keeping tends to bring in the money if you're good enough to survive - which both my parents were. At first, I stayed with my mother's parents. She was a Muggle born, but her parents were very open minded - the only issue was, they weren't quite equipped to deal with a toddler showing magical talents above and beyond what their daughter had, and with my ancestry, it wasn't really surprising that my first show of magic was rather big. In fact, I'll tell you now, my first show of magic? I may have gotten a little over-excited when I saw a mouse, and made it bigger. It didn't swell, though, it just kind of, tripled in size, in a completely rational manner.
Mom quit her job when she got pregnant with my sister. Dad and I didn't want her to, but she said it would be better for us. And it was, really. It was easier for her to keep track of a magically blossoming boy who was into pretty much everything, than it was her parents, and even more so with another child in tow. That was around the time I started spending more time with my other cousins, as well. There had always been family holidays - which at first were rather quiet affairs, with only three of us kids, but then there were more and more of us, and it became almost a zoo. I always liked to consider myself the cool cousin - the one with the baby dragon's tooth on a string around his neck, and the new dragon hide jacket from Santa. Yeah. That was me. I suppose I was a bit of a snot, but what did you expect?
Eleven years old was probably the scariest time of my life. It wasn't that I was afraid of starting school - I'd seen dragons semi-up-close by this point, and once you've done that, and looked up and just said: woah, well, there isn't much left to be scared of. But I was scared. I was afraid of the change. It was Hogwarts, and well, things were already promising to be different for us now than they were for our parents. There was peace of a kind, though not perfect peace, certainly. It was a new world, and all the stories I had heard were either those of my dad, of a time of house rivalries and little more, or those of my aunts and uncles - the ones who lived in the war, and had seen the house rivalries belittled by bigger problems. I knew I was safe, but it didn't stop me from fearing the unknown.
I was, as can be expected, a Gryffindor. I followed in my father's footsteps in a lot of things, when it came to school. Quidditch captain in my fourth year, seeker, well liked by most of my classmates. Everything seemed to be going brilliantly. I wasn't the best student, but I was good enough, and things were well.
Honestly, this is the point in my story where I expect something bad to have happened, but nothing did. I graduated, and spent a year as a sort of intern to my dad, and then began looking into what credentials I would need to be a teacher. I missed my family, and my friends, and since most of them were still in school, it was a little hard to see them throughout the year, and holidays didn't seem to be enough. And then, I did it. I managed to get enough done, and shall be starting a new job, come the first of September.
That's right, children. Say hello to your new Care of Magical Creatures teacher."
