Overall Personality: Beatrice is a big believer in equal opportunities and working to get to where you want to go. She doesn't like the idea of a free ride for anyone unless everyone gets a free ride and that just doesn't happen. As well as being fair Beatrice is a big believer in learning, be it through books, lessons or real life experiences, she loves to learn and picks up on things quickly.

Beatrice's favourite time of year is Christmas. She does not have a family of her own nor does she see much of her sister but she loves to give and enjoy the company of those around her at the time. Any students that stay at the castle over Christmas she sees has a present from the school, no matter what their background.

Beatrice likes to give people a chance, no matter what their background, to her each individual person deserves a chance to live their life the way they want to providing it doesn't hurt or damage another living being. What she does not like is giving people a second chance because usually that means that she has been let down once before by this person, however she is fair and will give people that second chance but usually that will be all they get.

To coincide with learning Beatrice is a lover of languages. She's learnt all sorts of languages from all over the globe and even Mermish, Gobbledegook and Troll. She has a natural ability to speak parseltongue that was passed down through her family for as long as they had been documenting.

Beatrice is fiercely loyal to the point where she can get a little overbearing, she can occasionally have an issue with boundaries and getting along with authority figures that place too much importance upon their titles.

Overall History: Beatrice was the first born child, she grew up an only child and went through adolescence as an only child and yet when she turned 20, she had a sibling, a baby sister named Joella.

Beatrice had a comfortable childhood growing up, she didn't alway get what she wanted but their family wasn't exactly poor, they managed to get by with enough left over for a holiday every summer.

Beatrice loved her time away, visiting different countries, from an early age she was encouraged by both her parents to learn other languages, they too spoke different languages and helped teach a young Beatrice as much as they could, but her thirst for knowledge was insatiable.

Beatrice learnt three languages before she went to Beauxbatons as well as having a natural gift from both of her parents of being a parseltongue, a gift her parents had told her to keep hidden through fear of judgement, parseltongue's were associated with the evil and wicked and they did not want that for their daughter.

Beatrice attended Beauxbatons and was placed into Vallen. Despite both her parents having been Gaston they were very pleased for their daughter.

During her time at Beauxbatons Beatrice added another two languages to her vocabulary. She knew knew English, French, Greek, Italian, Welsh and Mermish.

Beatrice left Beauxbatons with a sense of wonderment and straight O's in all her subjects apart from Divination where she suffered an A. She wanted to see the world, learn more about other cultures and live a life without regrets. First on her world tour was New Zealand, where she spent time travelling and doing anything even remotely adventurous, bungee jumping, white water rafting and spending time caring for sick muggle animals as well as magical ones, she also worked in hospitals both magical and muggle.

Before she left New Zealand she met a guy, they had a brief fling and it turned out the guy was a Quidditch player for the New Zealand Quidditch team. She cared for the teams Mascot Sparky, a phoenix, leading up to, during and after his burning days, they grew close to one another and the rare bird came to trust her.

When it came time to leave New Zealand, after three years, and explore more of the world Beatrice was torn, she wanted to stay, to be with the man she was starting to fall in love with and to support the New Zealand quidditch team as well as caring for Sparky, but she had to move on and she could always go back.

Her next stop was Australia wandering the bush and working for children's charities and those that helped families. She learnt a lot of things and stayed in Australia for two years, doing what she loved and taking adventures with aboriginals, tourists and random strangers she met at youth hostels. Her favourite part of Australia was the Great Barrier Reef with all its tropical fish.

After Australia was America, Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Asia, western Europe and to the UK, spending time exploring at home in France as well, but no matter where she went, Beatrice always found work to do with people, paying her way by working in animal hospitals, magical and muggle.

By the time she was twenty-nine, having spent ten years travelling the globe, Beatrice had finished travelling the world, she was happy at home and as much as she liked to travel she would be happy to just do it in the summer.

Beatrice got a job in Merlin Court and lived there, she worked in a couple of places in the village and loved them both. There was Scamander Pets and The Red Shoe. She was there from March 1998 and involved so much in village life but she was only there for two months, she took off for New Zealand only to find the man she loved with another woman and a baby on the way.

Beatrice was happy for her ex-lover and spent time with Sparky, he became her only reason for staying in New Zealand but she wasn't yet ready to return to France.

Beatrice spent her time in New Zealand learning as much as she could about anything and everything. She learnt about animals, more languages, including Gobbledegook, ancient cultures from around the world and even spent a while teaching in some muggle schools.

Beatrice had spent six extra years in New Zealand before hearing rumours of a job opening Beauxbatons, she applied for Professor of Charms, got the job and stayed in that position for 18 years.

During one of her summer holidays off from school, Beatrice visited the Northern Territory on a trip to Australia, she walked about the bushland for days and came across a familiar sight, a burning bird. She cared for the bird and shared her provisions with it, she couldn't stay with it for long and knew that the wild life would eat a poor defenceless baby bird on its own and so she made a nest from twigs, gum leaves and eucalyptus leaves and took it on her two day walk back to camp.

She cared for the bird until it had grown much bigger and was nearly at its full size, it was nearly time to return back to Beauxbatons and so she apparated back to the spot where she had found the bird to set it free, the bird however did not leave her side and has been a companion to Beatrice ever since. She named the Phoenix Phyre and returned to Beauxbatons, Phyre in tow.

December 2023 the schools head professor resigned from the position and Beatrice applied and much to her pleasure got the job, she’s only been head for a short while but has loved the position and looks forward to the up and coming school year.
