Overall Personality: Meleny is a very sweet person and helpful. She's quite pleasant to be around once you get to know her. Other than her sweet side, she has a side of her that is quite serious. If someone were to engage her in a battle she'll become serious, won't take her eyes off the prize and will risk her life to protect the people she cares about.

Meleny is tempermental and shouldn't be crossed when she's in a bad mood. Otherwise she is very calm and her usual friendly self. She can be a bit overprotective which usually gets on people's nerves if they think they're capable of keeping themselves out of danger.

Meleny is emotional and sometimes isn't afraid to show she's scared, or in pain but when met with an enemy she'll try to decieve them and cover up her weaknesses which includes trying to hide the scar underneath her right eye which is the only one visible. The others are on her body elsewhere and can only be seen when she's either getting dressed or undressing. Usually she's in control of her emotions and knows when and when not to show them but when she's scared or under stress the chain binding her emotions snaps and she becomes a total wreck.

Meleny is very loyal to the people she cares about or a cause she believes in deeply. She hates when people backstab and she will never be disloyal to anyone. When she becomes friends with someone or becomes romantically involved with someone it will be forever.

Overall History: When Christina found out she was pregnant the doctor told her she was carrying twins. Along with Meleny inside the womb was a darker baby that would grow up to be the second person to make Meleny's life miserable. This was her twin sister Jezebel and she was the evil twin that you hear so much about in birth stories. Her father had named her and after Jezebel was born Meleny's life became a living hell. The last thing she needed in her life was someone else to degrade and put her down as if her father hadn't already done enough of that. The two of them were constantly at each other's throats and she enjoyed psychologically and physically abusing Meleny.

Meleny had wanted to go to Hogwarts since she heard so many great things about it but her father who had attended Durmstrang insisted on sending Meleny and her sister there. Jezebel had also wanted to go to Durmstrang. She thought it was a much better school than Hogwarts and she especially liked the no muggleborns allowed rule. Meleny hated the rule. She thought it was such narrow-minded thinking. At Durmstrang Jezebel was sorted into Grimm and Meleny into Bergen House. The sisters were constantly at each other's throats over muggleborns and if they should be allowed to learn magic or not. As Meleny's education progressed she kept hearing things about a dark lord named Voldemort who was in power. Her sister had heard things about him too and she couldn't wait until she was old enough to join the ranks of the Death Eater. Her father already was a Death Eater but the siblings didn't know.

In her second year at Durmstrang the Aldridge twins discovered Quidditch. Meleny was Chaser for Bergen and Jezebel was Beater for Grimm. It was a really fun game for Meleny and she found that it was an excellent stress reliever. However disaster struck in her third year when Meleny was practicing for a game against Grimm. Practice had ended and she was doing a few more laps across the pitch on her broom when her sister appeared and knocked her from her broom by releasing the bludger from its restraints and injuring her badly. Meleny missed the game and spent a few weeks in the hospital wing.

Over the summer after her third year her mother announced they were taking a trip to America. Meleny was excited because she had never been to America. All she knew was the cold and rather unforgiving walls of Durmstrang. There in Salem while they were out sightseeing she met two muggleborn siblings Cadence and Carlow McKenna who attended the Salem school. They are from Ireland despite attending an American magic school. The younger sister Cadence who was Meleny's age was in Hawthorne house and the older brother who was very smart and charming was in Nauset house. Meleny had a hard time making friends at Durmstrang because they all thought she was an outcast. It was probably Jezebel's doing, making everyone ostracize her twin. Jezebel had lots of friends and was insanely popular. Meleny became fast friends with the McKennas and she kept in contact with them over the summers and while she was at school.

Jezebel and her father had found out Meleny was in contact with muggleborns. Jezebel found some of the letters in her room and her sister beat her up and gave her a black eye. Her father was steaming so he helped and a few unforgivable curses were used on his part. Meleny returned for her fourth year with a black eye, bloodied, and a horrible pain in her ribs. She was sore for many weeks because she had been under the cruciatus curse too long. The nurse at Durmstrang nursed her back to health the minute she arrived at school.

Meleny thought she would start her fifth year at Durmstrang with no incident but instead her mother was murdered by her own father and they were having a dispute about the family house elf. House elves were often mistreated by their masters and her father and twin sister was no exception. Meleny longed to free him but she was afraid of getting caught by her father. However she tried one night when the house elf Klavier had been locked in the cellar for insulting her father without thinking. He didn't care that it was against the rules to insult his master. He did so anyway and was proud of that. Emery was furious about it and nearly killed the poor house elf. Meleny had gone down to the basement one day a few days before she was to return to Hogwarts. As she snuck through the house she had one of her socks clutched tightly in her hands. She and her mother were the only ones who treated the elf with respect. When she found him he was chained to the wall and near death. Before she could give him the sock her father and sister came to see what was going on. They knew Meleny would try to free the elf if they didn't watch her closely. Her mother came too to see what was happening and a duel started that ended her mother's life with the killing curse. Meleny did not escape unscatched. She begged the elf to take her sock so he could be free and she desperately wished she could apparate so someone could care for the dying elf. Eventually she settled for calling in a healer from st mungos and she sat with the elf for hours until they came reassuring him everything would be ok while crying for the loss of her mother. Her father was now in charge of Meleny since she was still underage and took her back to Durmstrang the next day.

Meleny's sixth and seventh year were incident free even though with Voldemort powerful Meleny was scared for everyone's lives. She was just glad her new muggleborn friends were safe in America at the Salem school. She stopped sending them letters for awhile so she wouldn't anger her father anymore. They got really worried about her that they actually took a trip one summer with their parents to where she was. It was after her sixth year. A memorial service was being planned for her mother who had worked at the ministry as an auror. To this day she is still broken up over her mother's death but if she hadn't had the McKennas with her she didn't know what she would do. She cried on the brother's shoulder after the service. Jezebel saw her and accused her of being in a relationship with him and threatened to tell their father. Meleny said Jezebel crazy. He was a year older than her and a relationship would be kind of awkward with him being older than her. The truth was there is one guy Meleny had sort of a crush on at Durmstrang in the same house as her. He was the only one who hadn't ostracized her and Meleny had no idea he'd had a crush on her too until her seventh year. He had liked her since fifth year.

When Meleny finished her schooling at Durmstrang she saw the McKennas again. Cadence had just graduated from Salem, her brother graduated when Cadence was a fifth year. They had come back to see her and told her they planned to stay by her side. Meleny was working on becoming a healer. Meleny now lives in an apartment with the McKennas and her boyfriend. Her sister is unemployed and their father is the Potions professor at Durmstrang.
