Overall Personality:
Azazel is a quite difficult man to peg. He is quite kind and generous, open and forever the center of attention given his free spirit and charismatic nature. Most know him to be a bit eccentric given the things he is capable of pulling off with his wealth and his very outspoken nature. Pollux has no problem speaking his feelings and letting anyone in the vicinity how he feels about them or any other subject. He helps when he can, enjoys the company of others, and is very friendly to most who encounter him; if only for the sake to hear himself speak for extended periods. These things make Azazel a person many would be fond of, if not for the other side of him that apparently goes hand in hand with the other.

Pollux is known to be something of a jerk at times, his kind being a well that is considerably shallow. In fact most of his reasoning for bonding with others is to gage them and exploit weaknesses or hold his superiority over their hands. He certainly has a sense of entitlement, coming from a wealthy and well respected Canadian pureblood wizard family. As a young man he was deemed a prodigy and to this day he believes himself smarter and better than others. He can be incredibly short with others, condescending, and downright insulting. Sarcasm is one of his many weapons of attacking strangers, friends, or enemies; his tongue is known to give nearly anyone a lashing at the drop of a hat. His holier than thou attitude and reputation causes many to be cautious of him but the fact of the matter is that his kind, charitable, and charming side is strong enough to pull others in even when they wish not to have any part of him.

It's rather hard to single him out as a nice guy, or just an ass.

Cromwell and Sifera were both born to prominent, well-to-do, wealthy, pureblood wizard families and their engagement to one another was a much talked about national event in their home of Canada. Sifera was a popular witch who's healing gained her the attention of many dueling wizards who wished to make her a stable of their endeavors, some Death Eaters even tried enlisting her once or twice. The son of an Auror and a politician Cromwell was well known and bore high expectations from everyone in the wizarding world of Canada, notions that were strongly downplayed by Cromwell's playboy bachelor attitude for most of his teens and twenties; that is until he met Sifera. Sifera and Cromwell met by chance, a curse sending him to her so that she may heal him and from there the two fell in love. Finally the bachelor was tamed and within months the two were wed.

The two were prominent figures in the wizardry society and when their firstborn Nifarius was born he was immediately expected to carrying on the greatness of the Pollux family. Nifarius was the jewel of his parents eyes, even the two years following his birth when his little brother Azazel was born. Nifarius was the star and Azazel was overlooked, the birth of his sister made it no better being the only daughter and reportedly so beautiful she "must have been part Veela" made her another apple of their parents' eyes.

Azazel and his family had lived in Canada for his younger years but upon the birth of his youngest (twin) brothers they all moved to France. The family spread out as they all grew but Azazel remained in France where the public seemed to adore him. Azazel took to taking dangerous risks as a young man; fighting giants, slaying dragons, and sneaking into acromantula dens. Many watched his destructive nature with glee and even when he became dependent upon alcohol and performed such stunts while intoxicated the public still silent watched Azazel spiral in hopes of watching a very public crash. Eventually though Azazel straightened up, a brush with Dementors supposedly doing the trick, and out of school (where he was a novice Quidditch player) went to play professional Quidditch. He became less self-destructive and distanced himself more from his family - in the time of his brother Nifarius reportedly dabbling in the dark arts - and began to reach a high point in his life.

He bounced around Quidditch teams for a while before securing a spot with the Quiberon Quafflepunchers. However one cannot last as an athlete forever and once into his mid-thirties Pollux was released from his contract with the team. That chapter of his life was over but Azazel could not say he was too sad, he always enjoyed a new thrilling adventure to get into. Proud of his pureblood heritage and his school of Durmstrang Institute Azazel set his eyes on a position at the school, though unfortunately they simply could not accommodate him. Instead Pollux would settle for a position at the South France school Beauxbatons. The school's ideals don't necessarily reflect Azazel's own and he would have rather been Headmaster or Defence Against the Dark Arts professor but his skills at Transfiguration made him a better fit for the respective course.
