It’s not very often someone asks about her – Nina Dalmascus – a small sweet unassuming girl with a passion for truth and a fiery determination to be good.

As a child she was subtle and quiet. She attended school but never really engaged in play with other children. She was the sort that took to daydreaming and reading books about far off lands: travel, mystical fairytales, romance (because the prospect of anyone liking her in real life seemed preposterous). The truth was children didn’t like Nina. Odd things would happen whenever they hung around her or asked her to play with them! She remembered one time during a game of hide and seek when she’d been able to locate every single person that hid on her because she had been able to see through the walls. When she divulged this secret to the other kids they teased her mercilessly… yet they knew there was something unsettling about her. She always found them, after all! Alas, kids can be so cruel and they were to Nina.

Her parents are both muggles and though Nina always fantasized about a new mystical place, a better place, she’d never would have believed she was a witch until she received her letter to Durmstrang. Even then the idea seemed farfetched and she’d thought it was a joke at first… but when a representative came knocking on her door waving a wand and making her mother’s fine china dance around like they were the leading cast on a Broadway show was hard to not to believe in magic. She remembered playing hide and seek after all. She remembered what she’d done to win the game.

Durmstrang quickly became her home away from home. Nina was sorted into Ruhig. She met friends and though wasn't as raucous as some of her housemates she adored them all nonetheless! Her life had gone from stagnant and boring to something utterly wonderful and amazing! ). Though it also became a Hell. Mudbloods, or muggleborn, were not welcomed there with open arms by all and Nina found she entered a society again where she wasn't completely accepted.
