Overall Personality: Lars is typically seen as shy and withdrawn, due to the fact that he’s quiet. In reality, he tends to be rather cold and calculating, always analyzing situations to see how they would benefit him in the long run. Nothing he says is without thought, and he often judges a person before they even open their mouth. He’s never open with his pre-judgments until he learns more about the person however, then Lars has no problem at all telling them whether or not he likes them.

While he sees it as a strength, a big weakness of his is that he doesn’t care what others thinks of him, or if he hurts their feelings. This means he has a hard time making – and keeping – friends. However, once he lets someone in and lets them see that he really can be nice and friendly, they’re in for good. He does not backstab.

Overall History: Lars Jakob Alden was born in Bregen Norway as the first born to Sander and Ingrid Alden. Only two years later they added a second child, Benjamin. A wealthy family, the Alden family often traveled whenever they had the time, wanting to show their two sons the world and ensure that they were cultured. When Lars was ten, just before he headed off to school, Sander, his father, died in a potions accident. Lars immediately withdrew into himself.

Since the accident, Lars found it difficult to make friends, refusing to put too much trust in one single person. Instead, he bent all his thoughts on his studies, even pushing away from his mother and brother. He immersed himself in the study of the dark arts – not caring where it led him.’
