Overall Personality: Throughout her years at Hogwarts, Hannah was known as the clumsy, shy little Hufflepuff who turned a ferret into a flock of flamingos during her OWLs. But over the few years after she graduated and started working long hours at the Leaky, she grew to be a much more well-rounded person.
Hannah is loyal, through and through. She is much more confident, and loves talking to the patrons of her pub. Anyone could strike up a conversation with her while she wiped down the counters, she would never mind. She plays the role of the nice, friendly landlady, instead of some of the more flirty ones she's had the... not exactly pleasure, of meeting. Her goal is to make everyone feel happy, comfortable, and welcome. Despite this, Hannah is still easily stressed and can be easily disappointed or distressed.

Overall History: Born to Mark and Marie Abbott, Hannah was always the quiet, middle child. She was their only daughter, and was spoiled in the sense that because she was the only girl, she got ALL the girl hand-me-downs. Other than that, though, she was nearly forgotten by her parents until she was about nine. Her father left the family when Hannah was young, and she doesn't remember really anything about him.
Two years later of her family living in quiet solemnity, Hannah received her Hogwarts letter. She had been sitting in the living room, reading a book, when she heard a crash in the fireplace. She ran over, and discovered an owl had come down the chimney, but had choked on soot on the way down. In his beak was a letter addressed specifically to her. After her mother nursed the owl back to health and sent him on his way, they opened the letter together, and celebrated later that night.
Her first year at Hogwarts was pretty uneventful, but her Second was tragic. This was the year in which Harry Potter was accused of being the heir of Slytherin, and students were paralyzed. One of these students was fellow Hufflepuff Justin Flinch-Fletchley. Hannah and Ernie were scared for their friend all year, and stayed away from Harry as much as possible. At the end of the year, however, when it was discovered that Harry didn't paralyze Justin and he wasn't the heir, Hannah and Ernie apologized. She was a bit cautious around him for a bit, but other than that, she trusted him again.
During her Third Year and under the threat of Sirius Black, Hannah thought that the criminal could transform into a shrub, as a means to hide from those trying to catch him.
Fourth Year was an important time for Hannah. It was the year of the Triwizard Tournament. The Hogwarts Champion was supposed to be just Cedric Diggory, and not Harry as well. Hannah was angry because Hufflepuffs are never in the spotlight, and just when Cedric was getting some attention, Harry took it away. She showed her support for Cedric by wearing one of the pins that declared "Potter Stinks!". Though throughout her Third Year she had grown to like Harry and company again, the tournament threw all of that out immediately.
Hannah went to the Yule Ball with Ernie as a friend, and nothing more. It was clear that he didn't like her that way, but neither wanted to come alone. She had to admit, however, she had a little flame for him, though she never told. Until they had graduated, anyway. After all, it was for most of her fourth and beginning of her fifth year.
In her fifth year, Hannah was very stressed about her O.W.L.S. She was the first to need a calming drought from Madam Pomfrey, and during her transfiguration test, she somehow managed to turn a ferret into a folk of flamingos. The year overall was very stressful for Hannah.
During Herbology of her Sixth Year, Hannah was told that her mother was killed by death eaters. She was pulled out of Hogwarts for the rest of the year. Because of the loss of her mum and her father nowhere to be found, she went to live with her uncle, until it was deemed that her brother Andrew was actually a suitable guardian several months later.
Life with Andrew wasn't too hard overall. He already worked in the Ministry of Magic as an intern, but also a part-time job working in Diagon Alley. Because of this, he was rarely home during the day, so Hannah and Mackenzie pretty much had the days to themselves. They were each other's source of comfort, while the world spewed rumors of war around them.
Andrew urged Hannah and Mackenzie to go back to Hogwarts the next year, not only because it would be Hannah's last year and it was mandatory, but it would be safer for them there as well. Hannah agreed, and the two Hufflepuffs came back to a year of horror. During that year, Hannah had to learn what she had missed from when she was home. It was about as stressful as fifth year, but she had help this time. She rejoined Dumbledore's Army, and the members helped her whenever she had trouble.
The Defense Against the Dark Arts class was horrible, especially to someone who was terrified of the Unforgivable Curses, due to her mother's death by Death Eaters. She would watch as one by one her friends tortured others, or if they refused, were tortured themselves. The day came when the students practiced the Curses on First Years. Refusing to do it, Hannah was tortured herself, and was told she shouldn't go to the Hospital Wing. They would be checking to make sure she wasn't there. Hannah had to learn to tough it out, and keep the feelings inside. Still, her friends felt bad, and took care of her, even when she refused.
The War itself was long and horrible. Hannah fought alongside the DA, but was sent off with Seamus Finnigan to defend one of the secret entrances of the castle. They did well, but by the end, Hannah's leg was broken and she had a few battle scars to help her tell the tale.
The next six years following the war were a bit of a blur. Hannah worked at The Leaky as she had since her fifth year, Tom being a stand in parental figure for the three Abbott children. Her life was work, and she had even considered moving in above the pub so she could come to work quicker, easier, and sooner. She had to provide for her family, and that was that. In truth, though, Andrew made plenty as he had a somewhat well-paying position in the Ministry; Hannah didn't need to work quite as much. Work was just a way for her to get her mind off of things.
After those six years, Hannah ran into a certain Neville Longbottom. They had known each other throughout their years at Hogwarts, but didn't speak much, simply because they were in different houses, and weren't exactly the most outspoken of all the students at the time. They dated for a year when Luna Lovegood set them up on a date and not long after they'd been dating, the romantic in Neville proposed and the couple couldn't have been happier. That was until the day of their first born.
When Hannah became pregnant with their first child (a son), she managed to persuade Neville to quit his job as an auror, and work at Hogwarts instead. Being an auror had proven to be a toughness factor for him, but they couldn't afford for him to be in danger any more, they would soon have a family to raise.
Three children in, Neville's Gran passed away, and Hannah knew she had to be his rock. She didn't have much family left, but she knew how it must have felt for him. If Andrew died, Hannah would have been grief-stricken for months. A few months later, they decided to have one more child, but ended up with twins. Five kids was plenty for them, but each wasn't loved any less. When the twins reached the age of three, Tom passed away, leaving The Leaky to Hannah. It was a tough job for her at first, actually being in charge, but she fell into the it soon enough. Around this time, Neville became the headmaster of Hogwarts, something the whole family was extremely proud of.
Every night Hannah is pleased and proud to have Neville home with her but she could never shake the feeling that she wanted more children. Her nieces and nephews were all off having their own children and Hannah was proud of them all but she remembered how much she loved being a mother. The twins were older and so she put forward the thought of adopting to Neville. She was nearly done with being able to have children of her own and if she did get pregnant there were higher risks that there could be something wrong with the child. Hannah and Neville didn't want to risk anything and so they started the adoption process.
After nine months of jumping through hoops, Hannah and Neville met a young expectant girl who wanted to give up her baby. The father wanted nothing to do with her or the baby and she believed she wasn't ready to have a child. She wanted Neville and Hannah to raise their baby, believing they were the best choices. Hannah was ecstatic about the news and to top it off she found out she was pregnant. There would be a maximum of a month difference between their babies but Hannah couldn't be happier. She cannot wait to have two babies around the home once more, being a wife and mother is what she is all about.
