Likes: Teaching the ones that want to learn, Most Sunsuhan’s, Magic, The UK, Travelling
Dislikes: Upsetting his brother, Teaching annoying brats, Watching people being taken advantage of, Blood status having so much leeway in Mabeob, Being pranked
Strengths: Sarcasm, Resilient, Adaptable, Knowing good morals, Strong willed
Weaknesses: Keeping to his morals, Stubborn, Younger women, Flirting, Saving money
Overall Personality: On paper Bae seems like a colourful mix of contractions but that’s not really the case when you get to know him. From afar Bae seems like your average Professor. He likes the good students that put forth an effort and is irritated by the bad that see no point in what he teaches. He understands morals, he believes in morals and yet he’s willing to break his own, despite the fact that it pains him to do so when he’s alone, washing guilt from his body. Despite being stubborn in arguments and standing for his own points he’s highly adaptable at changing in new situations. He has a strong will to do anything he wants but sometimes that strong will goes on holiday when he’s having his way with one of the students, but just because they’re sleeping together, doesn’t mean she gets better grades.

Birth Place: Geoje City, South Korea
Overall History: Bae was born to two South Korean parents who hadn’t the slighted idea of Magic or magical schools. Bae was eight when he first thought of himself as special. His father worked repairing fishing boats while his mother worked at a fish factory. Bae was sully left with his friends to play as one mother in the area looked after them all while the other parents went to work and earn money. Bae and the other kids took a small wooden boat that belonged to one of the father’s in the neighbourhood. The went out on the water as they often did and played around. Things took a horrible turn when one of the girls started cramping in the water. She was younger than Bae and just shrivelled up in the water. She couldn’t stretch herself out and all the bigger kids like Bae swam as hard and fast as they could to save her. Bae swam down further than the other kids were willing to go. He found her, grabbed her and started swimming back up to the surface of the water. The shimmer of the sun looked so close but Bae knew it was a long way to the surface. Still he kicked as hard as he could but he was to tired and he himself had run out of breath. He let out the last of the air he had when all of a sudden he shot through the water, holding the girl and out onto the top. Coughing and spluttering he brought up some of the water he had started to swallow. The other kids managed to get the girl onto the boat and to see what all the commotion had been about a couple of fishermen had made their way over. After a while they managed to get the girl breathing again but Bae knew that nothing had pulled him out and he knew that he hadn’t swum that hard. He had slowed down whilst they had been far from the surface of the water. He knew he should have died and so should the girl.
Ever since that day Bae noticed little things here and there that happened without explanation. The only thing all the incidents had in common were him.
A little while after Bae’s eleventh birthday he came home to find someone from some kind of ministry sitting in his lounge. His mother was there too but his father was still working. Bae’s brother was a year old and sat, bouncing on their mother’s lap. Bae was taught about the wonders of magic and it was explained that there were plans for a magical school to be built in South Korea but there was a problem. It was not built and would not be finished for quite a few years, however he had other options, there were other schools and when the school in South Korea was finished, he could transfer over. Bae was intrigued by magic from that very moment he found out it existed. He was keen to want to learn as much and as fast as he could. He was given the option to study at four other schools provided he learnt the languages of where he was attending. As he could already speak broken English he narrowed his choices between Hogwarts and Salem. His mother did not like the idea of Bae attending a school in America for she feared the things she heard on the news about the country so Bae agreed to attend Hogwarts. The family’s other option was to find a list of private tutors in the wizarding world that were willing to teach a ‘muggle born’ though this option proved far too expensive in the long run for the family.
Bae worked with his mother at the fish factory for as many hours as he could. He always smelt of fish and felt exhausted. Somedays he world 12 hour shifts, some days he worked for 18 hours, but he believed it was all worth it to find a way to Hogwarts every year.
Bae was sorted into Ravenclaw at Hogwarts. For the first few weeks of school no one liked to be near him. The smell of fish still hung around him but it soon passed with as many baths and showers as he could fit in. He went through mass amounts of soap to clean himself up and made a strong effort to make friends. Eventually he found a group of students in his year that he could get along with and from that day he felt as though his life was complete.
Bae studied hard, barely sleeping so that he could keep up his good grades and make his hard work worth the efforts. He knew that if he slacked off then he would have been wasting all that time and effort he put into working to earn the money to buy school supplies and cheap train tickets through Asia and Europe.
Once Bae reached his sixth year the new school in Seoul opened up. Bae stayed at Hogwarts and completed his schooling there. Mabeob would have proved too expensive for his family to send him to, especially with their years being so different to that of Hogwarts. He would either have been a final year student at the youngest age or placed into the correct year group and already have known everything that was to be taught.
Bae left Hogwarts with near perfect NEWT scores. He excelled best in Charms where he got a perfect score. He loved Charms and one day wanted to come back to Hogwarts to teach the subject but first he had to return home. He got jobs in Thailand working in the magical community doing bits of this and bits of that. Everything he earned went to his living expenses and his parents. When his brother started school Bae covered the costs with his job in the British Ministry of Magic. He did all sorts before he applied for a job at the Korean Magical School in Seoul.
Mabeob was a shock to Bae. He knew that in South Korea blood status played a big part at the school but he had no idea just how much. He had been at a school that frowned upon such discriminations but at Mabeob it was encouraged and students were split up based on their blood lines. His brother was of course in Bin and Bae tends not to take any crap from any students that think they’re better than him or his brother because they’re of ‘better’ blood.
