Overall Personality: Zaid enjoys his freedom and while he loves his family and wants to believe that they know whats best for him but he can't quite wrap his head around agreeing to marry the woman they picked out even if they have grown up together. He prefers to dance around the subject and dodge unpleasant conversations, especially when his mother or father bring up "wedding plans" or going to spend some time with his fiance. He'd rather run away or make up an excuse on why he can't sit down and talk about it now. Its not that he doesn't like spending time with his family, he just doesn't want to disappoint them by putting his foot down and trying to break off the engagement. Any time not spent in school is usually spent traveling around the world in a massive attempt to avoid them. Due to her persistence he's become rather loathsome of his fiance.

Overall History: Zaid was born to a long line of wizards. His mother and father both coming from distinguished families and joining in an arranged marriage that they both agreed to. While he was born in Alexandria when he was young his parents began to travel some from school to school. Partially because his father was a lecturer and partially to introduce Zaid to other kids from other families. This of course led to there being an arranged marriage in his future and while he was young he didn't exactly know what that meant. All he knew was that he had to spend time with a girl he barely knew while their parents watched over them and their play dates. As he got older though he started to get a bit more rebellious about the entire thing. While he knew that it was what his parents wanted he wasn't exactly sure that he wanted to marry someone that his parents had chosen. The fiance his parents chose though didn't quite think the same and she took every turn she could to remind him that she was his future and that was the end of it. This continued even in school and he took to traveling as much as possible, using a broomstick or even apparition once he got old enough, to lose her. It wasn't that he hated her, he just wanted time away from her and it never seemed to be possible.
