Overall Personality:
Nerys is witty, often times thinking on her feet with things that need to be done or said. When it comes to people she doesn't like, she tends to be a bit of a bully, but figures that is often just an attribute of a human being. If you go even further than that, to the people that she hates, she can be rather vicious, not caring if she hurts someone, be it mentally or physically. Nerys has been known to have an explosive temper when pushed to her limits, something that is shared by several people on her father's side of the family. However, when it comes to those that she cares about, Nerys is the traditional Gryffindor; extremely loyal, true-hearted, and brave. Often times, Nerys is a bit of a prankster. She likes to push the limits of things and have fun, even if it means taking a risk that isn't quite worth the reward.

Overall History: Nerys was born in the Autumn/Fall season to parents Gideon and Adelaide Black. She was their first and only child. Due to some complications with her pregnancy, Adelaide was unable to have any other children after Nerys. It was actually considered to be a miracle that Nerys wasn't a stillborn, nor was she born with any kind of deformities or disabilities. Because of how unexpected her survival rate was, her parents decided to give her the full name of Anastasia Nerys Black. Anastasia Nerys translated to Noblewoman of Resurrection. Given their bloodline, it was seen as some kind of nobility throughout the ages. As Anastasia grew up, she learned early on of her lineage. She learned that her grandfather, the father of her own father, had been the wizard called Sirius Black. She learned of all the slander that surrounded his name and she learned the truth of it.

When she was seven years old, Anastasia told her parents that she wanted to be known by her middle name from then on. While they were hesitant at first, her parents eventually accepted it and made sure that everyone else knew it as well. At the age of eight, Nerys began to show signs of her magical abilities. She had placed her hand on a pan of cookies fresh out of the oven and suffered a serious burn. As her parents began to get their wands, the injury was already healing itself. A few years later, Nerys got her acceptance letter to Hogwarts. She was elated and immediately called up her grandmother, Xenia. Together, along with her parents, the little family went forth and began to get all of her school supplies. On her first train ride to the school, Nerys didn't know what to expect. She'd heard the stories of when her parents went there, but she never expected anything to be so great. The crossing on the boats was amazing and terrifying at the same time. She'd heard stories of Inferi and was worried that they would reach up and try to grab her, dragging her down to her demise. When such a thing didn't happen, she was even more excited to get to the Great Hall so that she could be sorted into her house. Much to her relief, Nerys was sorted into Gryffindor House.

In the years that followed, Nerys began to make a name for herself. Some people were wary, because she had the name Black. It was assumed that she had some kind of relation to the Black family, but no one knew for certain. No one other than the professors, at least. Towards the end of her fifth year, Nerys entered into a relationship with Billie Greyback. As wonderful as it was, it didn't last long as the Gryffindor's mother got quite ill. Because of that, Nerys spent most of her sixth year at home, while still doing all of the coursework that was necessary to advance her to Year Seven. Since leaving Hogwarts for that year, Nerys has found out about her relation to Sirius Black and realized the irony of her animagus form being a black dog.
