Daemon pulled into the Nott Manor and looked up at the large estate that was home for so many years. When he was a child, he was sure that he spent as much time within these walls as he did inside of the Malfoy Manor. He looked into the backseat at his smiling daughter and wiggled her foot slightly in her car seat, earning another giggle from his daughter. Savannah was his whole life and he loved her more and more every day.
“Ready to go see Auntie Devon?” He put the car into park and turned it off. The car had been a gift from his mother so he would be able to get around with Savannah to the muggle places that he needed to. When he had to get groceries, or supplies, he was able to get there quickly. Sometimes even just driving around with the little girl in her car seat was enough to put her to sleep some nights.
He carefully lifted Savannah out of her seat and tossed her diaper bag over his shoulder to make sure he had supplies for the afternoon with his sister. He closed the door carefully and locked it with the black square on the ring and shoved it into his pocket. He grinned at his daughter who was resting comfortably on his shoulder and walked into the house, smiling at one of the house elves who bowed so low at him that it’s nose actually touched the ground,
“Master Daemon! Fezzik welcomes the young master the home! Would the young master like Fezzik to announce him and the little miss to Mistress Devon?”
“No, Fezzik, that’s fine thank you. Is she in her room?”
The house elf nodded so much and so quickly that Daemon actually worried his head with disconnect from the rest of his body. He gently shifted Savannah to his opposite shoulder and walked up the stairs to the proper room. Fezzik ran rampant around the kitchen, probably preparing food and drinks for the two of them, even though he had a bag full of food, formula and other things for his daughter. Nellie was with her older brother for the evening and he wanted to get away from his home. Away from the way her scent could hang around a room for hours after she left, how everything in the world reminded him of her, reminded him of her rare smiles and her precious laugh. It was only a few hours away from her, but within minutes of being away from her and he thought he was going to go mad. He had to get away from it, or else he would be forced to wallow in self-pity and yearning for his beloved girlfriend.
Daemon knocked on the door and gently stuck his head in, smiling at his sister.
“Are you too busy for a visit from your precious niece?"
