Lyra Violetta Crouch-Avery

It was in the early 90s when Caspar Crouch met Vienna Tyler. He was sorted into Slytherin and she found herself in Hufflepuff. Despite the odds that seemed to be stacked against them, a romance began to form in their third year. It didn't even register with her until later that Caspar was the son of Bartemius Crouch Jr. In spite of this, the way it should have sent her running in the other direction, Vienna was mitten with Caspar. Immediately after Vienna graduated, the couple were married. A few years later, in 2001, Vienna gave birth to a son, Jacob. He was the pride and joy of his parents from the moment he was born. While Vienna was glad to just have a child, it was Caspar who was pleased to have an heir.

A few short years later, the Crouch family welcomed a second child into their family. From the moment that little Lyra was born, she had her father wrapped around her finger. It was natural that Jacob was envious of how much attention his parents gave to the new baby, but Lyra didn't know any different. It was only after Lyra had been around for a couple of years that Jacob began to get used to her. He realized that she wasn't as terrible as he had originally thought, which made things more peaceful in the family. When Lyra was eight years old, Jacob got an acceptance letter to Hogwarts. While Lyra knew about magic, she found this to be incredible. She was jealous of her brother and hoped that she would be getting a letter of her own soon!

A year later, the family welcomed a third child into the world; another daughter that they named Ariel. Lyra immediately bonded with the little girl and did what she could to look out for her, always making sure she had the things that she needed. Two years later, Lyra got her own acceptance letter to Hogwarts. She was hesitant to leave her baby sister, but that didn't last long. Upon arriving at the school, Lyra was sorted into Ravenclaw house. It had seemed to be a tough choice for the Sorting Hat, but the hat made the final choice. Fortunately for Lyra, her brother had previously been sorted into Slytherin house, which meant that she wouldn't have to put up with him trying to tell her what to do all the time.

In her fourth year, she met one of her brother's house mates, a boy by the name of John Avery. She thought he was cute from the moment that she saw him, but it wasn't until a couple of years later that she realized her parents had arranged a marriage between them. It would merge the Crouch and Avery families which would only benefit everyone in the end. After spending time together, it was clear to her that the feelings she was developing for John went deeper than just friends. Since the relocation to Hogsmeade, she's hoping to win his heart. They're trying for a child right now and while Lyra thinks it would be great to establish their family further, she's also hoping that it may be a way to make John finally fall for her.
