Celeste Emraude is a very tactful person, she’s canny and tends to prize her observational skills, the type of person to pay particular attention to detail it’s easy to see that she’s quite the perfectionist. Ambitious to boot Celeste has big plans for her future and won’t let anybody stand in the way of them, she’s pretty cut throat when it comes to school work and assignments, she doesn’t believe in sharing her thoughts - let the buggers work it out themselves - nor does she agree with study groups, unless it could wholly work in her favor. Incredibly ambitious she knows where she wants to be in five years time and she'll do whatever it takes to achievei it.

She’s quite extroverted and doesn‘t mind running around having fun and crazy shenanigans with her friends, in fact she often does instigate them. Her extroverted personality is something Celeste prides, and she’s a very proud character one that takes a great deal of pride in all of her achievements, and while she doesn’t carry a haughty air about herself she does take offence easily and can be quite petty especially towards characters she heavily dislikes, or those she believes to dissaprove of her. She's very down to earth, she hates snobbish behaviour, and most of the time she can be found chilling in her dorm room stuffing her face with a big box of chocolate.

With that in mind those she does dislike tend to be on the receiving end of her tongue, she’s quite catty when she wants to be and not at all afraid to stick up for herself. She’s quite a blunt character and if something’s on her mind she’ll definitely bring up the issue too all it concerns, with that in mind however she’s not one to go out of her way to cause general negativity she’s not a bully and she would never intentionally hurt anybody’s feelings, she’s simply honest. Celeste can be somewhat manipulative, if there’s something she really wants and hasn’t the means to achieve it, she’s not afraid of getting others to do it for her though it’s not something she implores a lot.

She’s a fun loving, sweet natured individual, the type of girl who loves hanging out with her friends she’s typically protective of all of them and her sunny nature often lends a shoulder to cry on. She is however a realist if anything and while it doesn’t cross the borders into pessimism Celeste knows exactly how the world works - well not exactly - she tends to hide this view with her usual sense of optimism.

history

Celeste is the second child to the Emraude family, an ancient family with ties to purebloods that can trace their roots to 12th century Finland. They have no social standing however thanks to a particularly embarrassing incident that took place during the turn of 19th century, effectively it destroyed their family name. Celeste is a direct descendent and is the daughter of Emily and Fabian Emraude, two ministry officials who met and fell in love and married straight out of Hogwarts.

Growing up Celeste had a pretty average childhood, her parents fought a lot and both tried to buy she and her brothers love, before finally divorcing. Celeste was far to young to understand, but she does remember holding her big brothers hand a lot and finding him on sunny days looking really sad. Being the baby of the family meant a lot of attention was paid to her and since her parents were away a lot it fell to Celeste’s older brother to look after her, something which Celeste adored, there was nothing the five year old loved more than sitting in her brothers room -especially when he had his friends round - watching him play the guitar and singing songs together.

As she finally grow up and received her letter she packed her things and immediately wanted to leave. Even if it was still the middle of July, it was safe to say she couldn’t wait and she pestered her brother immensely for him to her every single detail of his time there. When she did finally get there she was sorted into her house (slytherin) and set about making friends, she was quite social butterfly and she soon learnt not to be a push over when she punched a haughty hufflepuff girl who’d taken to picking on her for her family name, in the face. She got detention but it was the proudest she’d felt of herself.

She didn’t join the Quidditch team, having had no talent for it and instead chose to focus on her education. She wasn’t sure what she wanted to do when she left Hogwarts but so she wanted to cover every possible turn her life could take. And now that she’s in her seventh year, with NEWTS closing in she’s ready to finish and move on with her life.
