She really wished that she wasn't showing as much as she was. That she wasn't about to go humiliate herself by singing for a whole festival. Two of the biggest wizard rock bands, Seattle Style Beat Down and The Screaming Banshees were both going to be there and if everything went well, she might be able to actually make a career with her music. She would be able to do something more than just be Gaspard's pregnant teenaged wife. She peeked out from the back stage area and saw Romeo and the rest of his band destroying the crowd. They hung on every word from him and belted out with the lyrics. She felt her nerves both melt from the cheering crowd and build up when Rome started to talk about how he found Ari playing her guitar, how they sang together and they worked together on this song. She heard him mention that she was going to come out to help with the next song and a stage hand gently shoved her back to force her legs to work.
Ari stepped on the stage and waved at the cheering masses. She stepped up to the microphone and grinned at Romeo.
"Are you ready?" She looked back out to the crowd and tried to sound as confidant as possible,
"This is a song that I wrote a few months ago, if you love it make sure you stop by Romeo's booth and pick up the new album." She started to play her guitar and played along with Romeo. She smiled, hearing all of his parts of the song that she wrote for Gaspard. It was strange to hear it from his lips, but she loved every second of being on stage as their loyal fans and her family.
"...And hey sweetie,
Well I need you here tonight,
And I know that you don't wanna be leaving me
Yeah, you want it, but I can't help it.
I just feel complete when you're by my side,
But I know you can't come home till they're singing
La, la la la, la la la,
Till everyone is singing.
La, la la la, la la la."
When the song ended, the crowd went insane for the band. Ari carefully hugged Romeo and stepped off the stage, heading straight for her mother and father.
"Did you guys like it?"
