Overall Personality: Jane is an easy-going girl, the type that everyone can get along with and she has many friends. Her outgoing personality sometimes clashes with her introverted side, like when she'd rather be reading or doing homework and her friends want to hangout at the Three Broomsticks or something. She's mostly found with headphones in and reading or drawing horses (which she's quite good at) or drinking cup after cup of coffee, decaf or not. Jane is a social girl when she feels like it, which helps with her fear of silence when she can simply walk up to an acquaintance and say "hey, let's go do something", since people rarely say no to her. She has a vast sense of humor and understands any joke ranging from innocent to dark, and usually laughs at them all. She's cheery and sweet when in public, but when she's alone or with her sister she can become reclusive and apathetic.

Overall History: Due to a drunken one-night stand, the world now has Jane at it's disposal. Though she belonged to two strangers, they took equal care of her and she lived a happy, normal life until she turned 7. Her mother got ovarian cancer, stage three, and since she had two daughters and a part-time job she couldn't afford treatments at the time. Her grandparent, whom she'd never met, heard of their daughter's issue and, with the help of Jane's father, were able to pull enough money for the costs of it all, plus a little extra for Jane and Anne (Lisa's parents were quite wealthy, though they preferred not to express it). Jane's mother lived cancer free for four years, and the summer before discovering that her father was a pure-blood wizard then receiving her Hogwarts letter, Jane got word that her mom had passed in her sleep from an unpredicted return of cancer. Needless to say, ridden with grief, Jane couldn't possibly make it through her first year at Hogwarts and had to repeat her year, minus the welcoming celebration and the house sorting. Since her second first year, Jane has grown particularly close to her studies and can often be found reading or daydreaming, though she has many friends and doesn't mind hanging out with them on occasion. During the breaks, such as Christmas, Jane lives with her muggle sister Annelise. Together they have an apartment in London, thanks to Anne's job as a publicist, so they don't have to live so far from the school and Jane's father, who lives on the other side of the city and works as a detective for Scotland Yard.

So far her father sends monthly owls while her sister writes nearly every day, and she hasn't heard from her grandparents since the funeral.
