He had to make sure that he had everything ready for this trip. Scorpius didn't know how long he was going to be in Egypt, with the exception of having to be to Aridorn by the time the semester started. Still, Lily was already supposed to be back and instead she was asking him to join her down there because... Probably because her friends weren't ready to leave yet and she didn't want to leave without them. It wasn't something that he could really relate to. Scorpius had a small, select group of friends. They did everything together and most of the time, he was the ringleader of them all. Whatever he said, they did. Now that he was graduated from Hogwarts, though, he wasn't so sure that would remain the same. It was probably best to forget the role that he played and move forward, accepting the fate that he would never be the center of attention again.

Except that wasn't something that Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy would ever accept. His arrogant nature simply wouldn't allow him to. He would probably never willingly give up the desire to be the person that people looked at with a touch of fear and awe. They knew not to mess with him, but they also wanted to be him, or at least be his friend. That was if they weren't the ones that hated him or were so terrified of him that they practically pissed themselves every single time he stepped in to a room.

Lily was the one person who never really looked at him in either of those ways. He knew that she always liked him and he knew that he liked her. Sure, at first he had been his best friend's kid sister. She was another Potter kid that he would probably clash with, at least if she took after James. But once she started at Hogwarts and they started hanging out... Something changed and he saw her as something more. The Malfoy boy was watching out for her long before she even knew it and he wasn't likely to ever stop, no matter what James or her father tried to do.

It didn't take him long to apparate to the hotel that Lily and her friends were staying at. It was nice that he finally had the license to be able to do that as it was going to make visiting her a hell of a lot easier. The Floo Network wasn't always available, but apparation was. That was one of the reasons he had for learning it. After he got there, he saw the little note that she left for Ella, saying that she was down at the pool. A little smile pulled at his lips and he changed into a pair of swim trunks and grabbed a towel before making his way down there. It seemed that he was just in time as he saw a flash of red hair jumping into the deep end. Scorpius moved and sat at the end of the pool, dipping his feet in and waiting until she broke the surface. "Nice dive, could use a bit of practice, though." That smile was still on his face as he looked at her.
